You could get Thunderwing out of the Blackshadow/Overlord/Dai Atlas mold from Titans Return. replace his gun with a four barreled cannon.
Nah, no need to put up with a mediocre at best mold with a tenuous link. They can make a way better toy nowadays even before getting into accuracy.

The designer read too much TFwiki and tried to cook.
I would rather they used Siege Jetfire. Remold the head, helmet and chest plate. All new Jet boosters on the back and new wing design.
I really want that one. He looks great. Way better than he should.
I'm okay with Vector Prime, but I'm really hoping DNA takes a stab at giving him better wings that create the proper cloak effect his original toy had. But even that aside, I think he looks decent.

Likely someone browsing the forms a couple of years ago and saw someone mention "Rock lords" and thought "We could do a updated rock lord line of figures!!"

I believe Fossilsaurus was the purple'ish one. Either way, the Tonka catalog called this one Rockasaurus. Maybe Fossilsaurus was the creature's type and Rockasaurus was its name?

According to the link, "Rockasaurus" also refers collectively to the single rocks that turned into dinos. If I'm reading correctly, the combiner was named "Rockasaurus Rex".
But yes, this would have been a cool idea to produce with the Armorizers.
I think I may have enjoyed the rock aesthetic if applied to beasts rather than vehicles. The Fossilizers are named as such, but the molds are more bone than stone in appearance.
I am enjoying the rock vehicles, but I would also happily take rock animals as well. Something like the old Rock Lords Terra Rock or Spike Stone:
But with a robot mode instead of a rock mode.
But, if they wanted to straight up make a new Fossilsaurus/Rockasaurus, I'd buy it.
I want a heavy retool of Kingdom Megs called Tyrannosaurus Rocks.
The regular Rock Lords (the good guys, at least) already looked varying degrees of robotic. It wouldn't be much of a leap.
