But we also know that it’s always “More Than Meets The Eye,” so it should come as little surprise that there are nigh-countless little oddities that don’t fit into any one category particularly well, except for that of the “tie-in merchandise.” At a recent TFCon, former Transformers Creative Manager Rik Alvarez took to the stage to show off a slideshow selection of many of these licensed oddities — some produced, some not. This new take on that universe’s Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus are joined by Autobot Bluebolts, who turns into Ultra Magnus’ Blue Bolts cannon. Announced unlockables are the Matrix Blade (at 15,000 backers) and two Global Space Bridge display stands (at 16,000 backers). The project has a price tag of $249.99 and awaits 10,000 backers (limit of 5 per customer) by March 14, 2024. Looks like we have ourselves some new reveals that are once again spoiled for us fans. But we don't really mind that, do we? And this time, it's once again concept-based. Looks like we got ourselves a first look at what appears to be Bumblebee Movie Concept Art Sunstreaker🌅, coming from the TFW2005 message boards! While Concept Art characters still have a contentious space for Studio Series collectors, there are plenty of people that are looking forward to more figures based on this idea. And Sunstreaker here seems to fit that bill, especially if you want a Cybertronian mode for this vain yellow not-a-Camaro. His alt-mode is alright. We all should know he is suppose to turn into a sleek car mode, even if it's not Earth-based. He only includes one gun accessory. Which the pic doesn't have him hold or attach to his modes. He has some 5mm pegs on the side of his car mode, so that's probably where you can place the gun there. Hopefully official stock photos can showcase how well his articulation and play gimmick goes. The next character we have been shown is Selects Trailbreaker🛻, revealed by JTPrime17 as part of an Autobot 5-pack coming to Generation Selects. Trailbreaker here is currently tooned up. Found on Yahoo! Japan as an auction, That's most likely the design aesthetic to be reached for this upcoming 5-pack. We don't know when he's coming exactly, but for those who missed out on Earthrise TB back in 2020, this is your chance to get him plus 4 other bots to add to your collection, which reportedly include Jazz, Wheeljack, G1 Sunstreaker (not the BBM one), and the elusive Earth Mode Hound seen from last year. Transformers Year of the Dragon Crimsonflame is an interesting figure, his base molding comes from TLK Steelbane with a new crotch armor, arm bands, dragon legs head and tail, turning him from a wyvern style dragon to an eastern lung in alt mode and a European style knight to an ancient Chinese warrior in robot mode. His accessories are kind of interesting, He comes with a flame blast effect that functions as a dragon breath, a spark for his weapons or a spear head for combined weapon mode, A Chinese lantern with tassels which can be held by dragon mode by the foot or held in robot mode hand What I thought was a fireworks bundle is actually an Iron Three barrel cannon which can be mounted on Crimsonflame’s forearm or attach to the port on his back for an over the shoulder cannon, Next one I thought was a fancy torch but i was informed that it was actually one of the first hand guns made, the Fire lance, this can connect to the back of the Three barrel cannon and or held in his hand like torch, A brick road display stand which can hold all the mentioned accessories at once or if you plug the flame in the dragon’s mouth, you can have Crimsonflame displayed flying in dragon mode or pegged into the back of the stand in robot mode to display him with everything standing and secured . And finally a shield…it plugs onto the back of dragon mode or the robot mode forearm. You aren't gonna be able to store this in the stand with everything, unless I’ve missed something. Articulation in dragon mode oddly lacking, despite having a neck balljointed in two places to swivel joints and a hinge in the middle with an opening mouth, Front legs have limited ball joints that only go side to side and rotate along with a hinge, thanks to being a remold of a TLK figure who’s dragon mode had those legs spread out to become massive wings in dragon mode requiring them to have less articulation for stability reasons. Back legs thanks to being the robot mode arms are a lot more expressive with ball jointed hips, a swivel below that, a hinged knee and a hinged ankle tilt with a swivel connecting it, The tail is the same as the except without the head so you have a ball joint at the base with two swivel joints and two hinge joints. It looks like our favorite Robots in Disguise are getting medieval! Yes, again! Or at least, the code names to come from a leak are leaning that way. According to the ol' rumor mill, retail code names for a trio of product that appear to be shipping under the Collaborative banner. These are as follows: "Tails" would seem to be the odd one out -- that is, unless that's an unrelated crossover featuring Sonic the Hedgehog's Superstar sidekick, Miles "Tails" Prower. But that's just wild, left-field conjecture. Whether any of these names has anything to do with the product they'll be attached to remains to be seen.
