I hated the characters and hated their heads, but from the neck down, the character models weren't bad. I'd actually love to see a new take (like a Legacy style G1-ification) on their combined ice cream truck mode.

I think they're terrible characters in the movie and god ugly heads... BUT I LOVE the existence of an Ice Cream Truck duo-bot pair something fierce. I wish there was some way to preserve the alt mode without the characters.

Speaking of a different sort of Studio Series twins, Concept Sunstreaker's car hood panels are attached backwards. Luckily you can just pop them off and reverse them, then rotate the hinge they attach to. This makes his vehicle mode hood have less visible gappage.
Not EXACTLY Studio Series, but Yolopark has posted a teaser for a Rise of the Beasts Apelinq thing. Probably gives an idea of what kind of retooling Hasbro is going to do for the Studio Series version due next year (according to leaked listings).

The black background doesn't do that figure any justice, if they used white, then you might actually be able to see the features better, it looks rather lost against the black

Likely to make him stand out more, that is my guess, but then I expect the grey is not as bright as it seems as the offical pictures are taken under multable lights
He already stands out by being the black and purple jet! That's his whole thing.
That, and the teleporting ability (whenever writers remember to use it).
As much as I wish it were otherwise, the pics I could find of the character models from the movie all have him gray and purple. It's just a bummer because TC is such a lovely blue while everyone else is kinda boring.So, why did they make Skywarp primarily light gray instead of black or dark black-ish gray?
