I considered buying that set when it was revealed, until I remembered that I already own both molds.

That Galvatron mould has to be one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had with a Transformers toy. And they used it forever, it seems. In every iteration of Galvatron's colour scheme, as if getting the balance between the purple and blue to make the right blurple would somehow make that fiddly POS somehow better.

But, as a whole, I feel like Soundwave's tapes have come out better than Blaster's so far

The Eject/Rewind mould is better than both Rumble/Frenzy moulds, but it suffers from being gang moulded with Blaster's tapedeck door. What it means is that if you want both to match you have to get the translucent ones. SS '86 Blaster gets you the regular opaque Eject, but I don't see opaque Rewind happening anytime soon. Unless they've got a Studio Series Headmasters Twincast in the works (they don't).

So the stronger tape dude mould is Blaster's but the toyline can't really take advantage of that.

Or hey, maybe have them pull a Legacy United Soundwave and release a Twincast with Rosanna, Rewind, and Nightstalker. I already have Twincast/Rewind, but I may talk myself into that.

I'd be down for that. Heck, I'd love new versions of all the Kiss Player cassettes.

I would LOVE to see more official cassettes for the Autobots AND the Decepticons. They both have some good cassette concepts or even actual releases that have yet to be updated to Generations.

What can I say? I love me some Rodimii! I was just late to the party in picking up this particular one.

And yes to all the cassettes! I love those guys.

I didn't buy ten in a year either, but the big two for me where the Dinoking set (which may count as six or seven) and Origins Wheeljack. The combiner was exactly what I wanted for the characters, a 'micromaster-like' interpretation from Core class, and I never had Core Volcanicus so it was entirely new to me. Origins Wheeljack is, like Origins Jazz, one of the best versions of the character I've seen for comics and it replaced my old RTS one. Plus, unlike many toys nowadays, there are very few 'metal rod through clear plastic' to break despite how many clear panels it has.
