And a maximum age to be in office, while we're at it. Probably the only way we'll get rid of McConnell short of the Reaper finally taking care of it.
*looks around*We don't even know what kind of effect killing baby Hitler would have even had. For all we know it could have set off a chain of events that would have resulted in Henry Ford taking over North America and doing the exact same thing or worse.
Have a Jew befriend him and tutor him into becoming a respected artist so by the time Anton Drexler starts the German Worker's Party, Hitler the artist vehemently opposes the movement and uses his clout to prevent it from getting traction.Killing Hitler is too obvious. I say we just buy him a nice paint set and a couple of hookers, see how that works out.
Trouble is, define "get caught." No one is guilty without trial, not even the President. Though I do think impeachments ought to be tried in the Supreme Court rather than Congress. That much should have been clear long ago.You can also solve the problem by enacting a universal recall election, and making any criminal act punishable by immediate and permanent removal from office. You get caught littering: and before the ticket is paid they're already planning a special by-election.
Agreed, but caught in some contexts is rather easy: cause when the cop has bodycam footage of the politico in question falling down drunk out of his car, and bystanders have footage of the cop shutting off his body cam... yeah...Trouble is, define "get caught." No one is guilty without trial, not even the President. Though I do think impeachments ought to be tried in the Supreme Court rather than Congress. That much should have been clear long ago.
They're impartial enough. Compared to Congress they're practically God.The problem with that is that the Supreme Court is, as we've seen over the last year or so, very far from impartial.
Conservative white men don't abide.
That's the biggest difference between them and everyone else. Everyone else tries to abide by the rules of society, both formal and informal. Yes, some of these rules are unreasonable: social rules and customs can be arbitrary or even unfair. But most people try to get along. They try to keep the peace. They try to be reasonable. They try to abide. Conservative white men don't.
Tell them to respect the environment, and they will deliberately pollute MORE. Tell them to stop being racist, and they will act MORE racist, to the point that they start outlawing the teaching of America's racist history and boycotting any form of entertainment that seems anti-racist. Tell them that guns are harming people, and they will buy MORE guns, and march around brandishing their guns in peoples' faces in public. Tell them to buy smaller, more fuel-efficient cars, and they will deliberately buy BIGGER gas-guzzlers. Tell them to wear a mask during a pandemic to protect others, and they will not only refuse, but they will harass and attack others for wearing masks. Tell them that it's cruel to black people to honour the Confederacy, and they will fly huge confederate flags, paint confederate flags on their trucks, and tattoo confederate flags on their bodies. Tell them to stop being mean to LGBT people, and they will try to write their hatred of LGBT people into law. Tell them to stop being sexist, and they will make a point of voting for the worst sexist they can find, just to "own the libs".
They insist that white male privilege isn't real, but look at how they react when you ask them to abide by anything. Look at how they react when you try to appeal to their sense of decency. They are so unaccustomed to abiding by anyone else's rules that they lose their minds when you ask them to.
