This has killed the Kansas wing of the Young Republicans group. Multiple people, including the head, have been ousted from any roles in the party and local leadership has stated the group is dead.
The underlying organizations will just reform under new garbage that will do a better job of hiding their true faces.
So we'll go back to how it was in the 70s and 80s. The bigots will just go back into hiding and working in the shadows. The rise of Trump emboldened these people, that's the only reason they are as open as they are now about their views.
However, I don't think they'll be as successful in hiding: it's not the 80's anymore. Everyone's lives are so much more public thanks to everyone's addiction to social media... and, of course, the internet doesn't forget.
