The indictment from the Charlie Kirk thing:

Tyler Robinson Indictment

Might not even be radical left. If he was dating a trans person, it could have been an irrational reaction to the threat people like Charlie Kirk represent to someone he loved. Not that the Maga and Fox News crowd will understand the nuance of such a situation.I watched a video earlier posted by a friend where they explain the phrases engraved on the shell casings and what groupers are, but it noticeably stopped short of actually connecting Tyler to groyper. Both are steeped in meme culture, but none of those phrases are actually directly associated with groyper, making that explanation consistent with the facts we've seen the in early days, but not a smoking gun.
But I just read on AP that his mother said he had turned to the left in the last year while dating a transgender person. That detail had been supported on social media only by a Facebook post that was nonsense, but his mom saying it means a little more. Probably ought to brace for him actually being radical left.
I had never heard of ANYONE doing that. But OWNING a shell casing is very associated with the right and similar to my last post, I am surprised that someone in today's political climate would get liberal enough to shoot someone over it without disavowing gun violence first. One thing gives me pause though. None of the memes on the bullet casings are specific to groypers, or to the right in general. But writing memes on bullet casings at all is not something I expect from the left ever.
I thought it was "I would kill someone over this" that made him radical.Left leaning and radical left are two different things. I was center left in my youth but have gone further left as I've gotten older, but I'm still not what anyone except the fox news crowd would call radical left. I am slowly inching towards being radical left, though. Being kinda pushed that direction with how unhinged the current maga infested Republican party has become.
I neglected to think this through. The thing that could get him from his upbringing to where he was on LGBTQ was being gay. News outlets say his partner is a transgender man, but I did find one that said a male transitioning to female and I should have know that in mainstream reporting that would be called a transgender man. I could easily get out of my depth here. We don't have timing on the transition and from an LGBTQ perspective dating a trans-girl is not gay, but it certainly isn't the kind of straight that he was raised to recognize. If Tyler is queer, this could definitely be an issue he could switch sides on without being primed by other ideology. If he was willing to kill an influencer because they disagreed about trans-rights, I am doubtful that he is mainly conservative or otherwise apolitical. It is possible, but I would not expect a kid raised how and where he was to start dating a transgender person (everything is saying boyfriend, but I am not sure how they mean) without having a lot of opinions shift first. But again, it was one thing for me when talking head and politicians were saying stuff because it just seemed obvious from their perspective, but his mom is saying he had veered leftwing and they’ve probably had some arguments.
If he did the killing to try and spark a leftist revolution, that would be radical left, if he did it because he thought his target was putting a loved one in danger, he might not be(love, especially combined with underlying mental health issues, can result in extreme behavior). We don't know his actual motivation at this time.I thought it was "I would kill someone over this" that made him radical.
Most likely he's just a guy who had some left leaning views and some right leaning views who snapped. He could also be part of the pro-femboy subsection of the incel subculture which is mostly right leaning except on the issue of trans people. Until he talks, we won't really know. It's just more proof that we need to abolish the whole concept of right and left. There are way to many variables and issues involved. Even the 2 axis political compass, while better than the simple right/left spectrum, isn't really good enough to express someone's political ideology. So he goes from far right to far left in the span of three days?
