Weird little pop-up thing (ad?) at the bottom of the forum pages?

Hi,

Whenever I visit one of the main forum pages (https://www.allspark.com/home/forums/, https://www.allspark.com/home/forums/politics-and-religion/, etc.), I keep getting this at the bottom of the page:

It can appear either on the left or right - it's a clickable link (I didn't click on it since I'm not sure where it would take me)...is it just some type of ad or something?

It doesn't seem to happen on individual topic pages (https://www.allspark.com/home/threads/the-new-transformers-deal-thread.2486/)

I don't get it in Incognito mode (I'm using Chrome as my browser).

Oh, it's happening in Edge, as well.

This seems to be a recent development as I don't remember this happening until today.

Okay I just tried Edge. That is obnoxiously huge.

For now, I recommend using Firefox whenever it's an option. I cannot reproduce this on Firefox on desktop or mobile, but Edge is an instant nightmare.

I just discovered that turning my phone horizontally makes it go away.

Yeah, I am now getting large ads in the middle of the screen that I have to click off with quite the frequency.

I'm getting a pop-up like this randomly after clicking links here. It's not even the drop-down box that has been appearing for the last few weeks (which is still on every screen), but a new form of ad that fills the whole screen. Only happening on the Allspark (but similar to ads that pop for me at brickset.com also), Samsung phone with Samsung browser. Can't seem to figure out what if anything triggers it, but seems to pop around every 5 page loads.

Does mobile Chrome have any way tools to inspect these things? An element inspector? Something to show if there's a particular service associated with these?

1) It's also happening on my Amazon Fire tablet. 2) This is why we need adblockers to go onto sites nowadays.

Came to post about this. With Chrome on mobile, the site is fast approaching borderline unusable, and has already crossed the line into feeling like a shady click bait style page, that feels like it has 3 different ad packages all running at the same time.

Until we figure this out I highly recommend switching to Firefox.

I lit the Kalsignal and let Kalidor know about this, he's looking into it and will report back to us when he knows what is causing this. Like the Caffeinated Equine said, for now use Firefox!

It's now gotten to where the big pop-up ad that covers the whole screen no longer closes when hitting the "Close" button in the top-right corner

I removed all google ads for the time being. They aren't really helping much anyway. But I don't know how much longer I can keep the lights on here. I'll do my best
