Vi's journey through retro future space

[M. Virion]

Okay, I've given this some thought and I think I have to put the larger campaign on permanent hiatus. The hours/days just isn't going to work.

I am, however, going to start this small with the two people I know I can get the hours of to line up enough with. Honestly cutting my teeth DMing with a smaller group is probably the smarter idea anyway. Plus we can always have people join later if schedules change/work out or even DM it again later with a different group.

So unfortunately I think this is on hold here for the foreseeable future. If things change/open up I'll let every one know.

[MEDdMI]

Makes sense, it'll be much easier with a smaller group. It's hard enough getting times to line up IRL XD. I'm glad you can play at least. Let us know how it goes!

XD this has not been a good year for me and online Rps. This is now 2 for 2... happy at least you have your gtg group Vi... you put too much investment into this to just shelve it whole cloth.

[M. Virion]

I'm sorry Destron. =\

Hopefully sometime down the line I can still get a DM thing off the ground. At least this will give me a chance to get good at it.

So Neon Odyssey literally broke all the records.

16.14 million in backing, now the biggest TTRPG crowdfundering project of all time.

The biggest single/opening day TTRPG crowdfunded system of all time. (4.8 million)

The 8th largest Kickstarter of ANY KIND of all time.

4 times the final number of the Crooked Moon, and did 3 stretch goals on its last day. Including an emergency "Oh jive we actually blew so far past our expectations that we've got to have something for the last 5 hours." Goal.

The last few hours were hugging BONKERS. The final hour was something like 350K. So the last three stretch goals were: Combining mechs, an official crossover adventure with the Starlight Brigade from the TWRP music video of the same name and a digital art book.

I feel really good for the Starlight Brigade fans, they've been waiting for ANY new official content for like seven years. That's awesome.

TWRP's Starlight Brigade music video in case anyone hasn't seen it before.

*goes to check on his vinyl collection*

NOOOOOOOO!

At least my cassettes are safe.

Had the first session of the RP today. I think the smaller group was the right call as I am stumbling my way through learning the mechanics and ins and outs best I can.

It was a good experience, though, and I had the chance to improvise a couple of stat blocks and create a pretty neat interaction as a result. Overall I'm pleased with it, and I'm looking forward to more.

Second session today after having to skip a week for personal reasons. I felt it went much smoother this time, and I had a good time. My strength is definitely in improvisation as some of the strongest work this week again were elements invented in the moment.

Another skipped session pushed us back to this week for #3. Party managed to push through the first bigger challenge by the skin of their teeth and some genuine good luck. Fantastic character moment gave Doc the highlight of the session, approaching an issue in a way I hadn't expected but made complete sense to what I knew of the character.

Next week will be even more harrowing.

In this week's campaign:

[Destron D-69]

Lol... I can take that to mean so many things lol

[M. Virion]

I redownloaded Cookie Run Kingdom because of the Amazing Digital Circus collab.

I got everything I was wanting in less than 24 hours.
Only cost me a little over $10, as well. (Bought the pass)

Fortnite could never.

This show is entirely not my thing, but I'm happy you can keep enjoying it via colabs.
