Yeah, had some down time at work today, so did a deeper dive into the pdf... for sure going with horned king warlock. Monk was tempting... but a martial character makes for a better backup imo, than starting out as one and then switching to a caster later..

Okay, before anyone gets too locked in - and because this would be my first attempt at DMing - I'm going to share the planned player comp I have from the party as I currently know it, just to make sure no one sees a massive hole that needs filled.

Bard (DMPC I'm currently planning to help give support - I can change this if you guys think you need something else)

I wasn't originally going to have a DMPC, but after getting the info on the party I thought a hired gun to fill a support role might not be the worst idea.

Sounds good so far. Once I get me sheet done you and I can work out if you think anything will be a problem for you, I for sure don't want to make a pc that's too dm taxing for your first go

Me that same day finding both Hashtag and Soundwave at Target: I guess we can stretch a little thinner.

I mean... Those two are going for double and triple MSRP on eBay - and about the only Transformers I've been wanting for a WHILE now. No choice, really.

I couldn't risk another Aftermath situation.

My face when I discover one of the random 'lets collect this!' bugs I got up my butt for an unpopular Lego series is now highly desirable and we own the two rarest minifigures. The rarest going for triple digits.

Which didn't last long and APPARENTLY the second blind box wave was cancelled in the US.

How I found quite a few of those at a random Target? I'll never know.
