My recollection is that we had indications fairly early on that there would be a full set of five beasts, one of each element, for each side. I don't recall any indications of any more beasts beyond them before Lavamuleta and Frost Saber were revealed. Do we know yet if there are going to be any more besides the grass bird? Seems like they'd at least want to have more stuff to release along with the bird to make a full wave.

That's what I wondered, too. I was shocked that the birb wasn't released with the wave 3 toys, as it's the only toy from the original leak that hasn't been shown/up for order. I can't imagine that wave 4 will only be that one toy, so what will fill in the rest? re-releases of the first wave? maybe some recolors? single pack releases of Frost Saber and Lavamuleta?
So, what's happening on the English subs? Haven't seen anything since 5, and TT is up to 7 now.
Well! That certainly answers my question about whether there are more toys in the line to sell alongside the Leaf energy bird! That dragon is clearly a new torso!

Lot to unpack here! Love the colors and the design. The chains around the figure are a great detail. Looks like the energy bits will attach to the wings instead of the chest. The extra small dragon heads and tails obviously detach, and there are small black dragon wings attached to the tips of the large purple dragon wings, and you can see small dragon feet sticking up from the bottom of the frame, so there's obviously 2 small dragon Energy Beasts involved in this setup. Wonder if they'll sell the small dragons on their own as Energy Beasts and you have to buy 2 of them, or if this will be a 3 pack with the main torso bot and 2 small dragons?
Very interested to see the translated version of this one to get a better idea of what's going on.

I think this at least finally delivers on what (I think) CoffeeHorse mentioned wanting a while back: a beast base to go with the beast limbs. I was hoping for one too, once the show had done its core concept of "bots from different worlds working together".
At the time I had idly imagined, say, Grimlock or something (still operating on the notion of it being a visitor from Cybertron). But even without getting into the episodes' lore (haven't watched them yet), it just makes sense that there'd be one or more Energy Masters on the planet, a beast like the rest. And this is a great one to add in there. Would love to see at least one more, even as a redeco of this dragon. But really I could do with a bunch of limb redecos too; this is a FUN line.

This does make me now wonder if there is an upcoming figure or set of figures that will combine with Optimus in some new way. The Optimus toy has several odd bits that didn't seem to be used for anything in particular like the "toes" that are on the back of the feet that need to be moved around between robot and combiner mode but don't seem to really DO anything, or the 3-hole connections points). Before this, I had figured the line was basically completely revealed, so just chalked those up to giving us more options for custom connections, but now that I know that there are more toys yet to be released, I have to suspect that they ARE in fact for something specific that has yet to be shown.
That sounds interesting. Maybe there'll be a need for Prime and Megs to combine or exchange parts (I've seen a few limb swaps that made me think Gilthor).
Just had a thought -- what would be fun is an accessory pack of alternate animal heads and armor bits and weapons that could turn the existing limb bots into new animals (with the main restriction being the existing limbs, and colors).
And when Takara gets into the clear plastic bin, that's when it gets really cool...
