Nah, the new one is more curvy and dynamic while the old one is more boxy. New one definitely looks inspired by the old one though.
For what it's worth it looks to be a reuse/trace of a very specific angle on her model sheet. That said, Arcee seems off to me. Being an open air coupe and all, while this looks to very much have a roof.
Giant Optimus looks like he's about to trip over his own truck mode. That said, Arcee seems off to me. Being an open air coupe and all, while this looks to very much have a roof.
Also, seen it said that Megatron was lifted from the poster of the MTMTE theatrical showing a couple of years ago:

The white fusion cannon always bugged me.
No wonder he usually sends the trailer away.Giant Optimus looks like he's about to trip over his own truck mode.
At least it wasn't inked into pure mud for once. The composition for Livio's is actually quite nice, although I'd have preferred a different pose for Hot Rod. Alas, it is then turned into Livio's art.
Just wait until the other three guys show up for the full Ginyu Force pose. The composition for Livio's is actually quite nice, although I'd have preferred a different pose for Hot Rod.
Just you watch, in another ten years, we'll get a 50th anniversary release that's been needlessly converted into 3D with a pair of glasses included in the case, and it'll be the uncropped fullscreen version that they'll market as a special long-lost IMAX version found deep in a vault somewhere.40 years! It's been 40 years now since TFTM. That is just nuts. One day, we will all be gone, and I hope that the new generation of old folks appreciates this film and not just the Bayverse movies.
I wonder if it will be in 4D theaters?Just you watch, in another ten years, we'll get a 50th anniversary release that's been needlessly converted into 3D with a pair of glasses included in the case, and it'll be the uncropped fullscreen version that they'll market as a special long-lost IMAX version found deep in a vault somewhere.
And the one-night-only theatrical screening for that year will be formatted to SCREENX because, sure, why not make the audience feel car sick while watching it?

Drive-ins still exist. Theaters are on the decline, but they won't disappear that easily.in cute that we're joking that movie theatres will still exist in 10 years
They'll bring 'em back for that one-night-only screening.in cute that we're joking that movie theatres will still exist in 10 years
I don't remember if this was ever used as a cover, but if it wasn't, it should have been.Tbh TF:TM almost notably has never really had great cover artwork. The 4K steelbook perhaps the one exception.
