Yeah, I'm sure that it needs a new name for trademark / copyright reasons, but honestly I love the name Battersea.
Considering that Battersea Power Station was just named after the district of London it's located in, I'm more than confident in saying trademark has nothing to do with it because y'know I'm pretty damn certain you can't trademark a location name that has existed since (checks Wikipedia) Anglo-Saxon times.

It's probably them just thinking 'Oh naming it Battersea would be pretty lazy' yeah it might be but it's also the coolest choice.

But that likely IS the problem. Not that they can't use the name Battersea because it's trademarked, but rather that they want to be able to trademark the name of the pretend robot, but they can't if it's just named after the public-domain-type name of the thing it turns into.

Kentucky trademarked their name, so it's not without precedent.

I still say splitting the difference between Turbine Maximus and Autobot Powerplex is the way to go: Turbine Powerplex.

Throw a hyphen in there, and get generations worth of time on an epic name.

Or Batterblast.

I just picked up the Sonic crossover on discount.

Nice designs, but really don't feel great in hand due to a combination of tightish joints and frighteningly thin plastic used through them, so it constantly feels like whichever panel you're moving is less strong than the joint you're trying to move. That and Tails just falls apart as his wings are only held on with friction pegs.

I have always assumed the point of Crossovers is to try and pull in new fans from other franchises, but I have to question how they ever thought any one was going to buy these and have a positive experience with the brand. They definitely were not worth anywhere near full price.
