While I'm priced right out of this genre (i just want the Ravage, but fat chance of that) I'm appreciative of the improving designs. They've come a pretty long way from HISS Tank cosplay Megs.

If they make a transforming Serpentor chariot, though...

If you MUST put Bumblebee into a MotU crossover, Buzz-Off is RIGHT THERE. Sheesh.

I prefer using Brawn as MaA precisely because of the existing similarities in look (give it two faceplates over Duncan's face, the toy-Brawn and cartoon-Brawn faces), but if you want role instead, use Ironhide.

Ironhide as Man-at-Arms armor is preferable to Brawn. For this sort of thing, both role and visual interest are important -- it has to "make sense" characterwise (and this is where I feel Bee falls short) but should also have a distinct enough look and feel from the norm. It's one reason Skeletor/Megatron works; it's not just Skeletor with slightly rearranged colors. (For TF/GI Joe the visual distinction is brought by the altmode and its colors and kibble; that's one area where I'd like more of a blend of looks -- Kup/Triple T rather than HISS/Megs)

Man-at-Arms in red and silver armor would be enough of a departure from regular Man-at-Arms to make this worth doing. Maybe if it were Toy Brawn with a silver helmet and claw gauntlets and a green that's different from MAA's green, but that's still a bit "you had to do a crossover to look like this?".

I'm not surprised they crammed a Bumblebee in there, although it is odd they didn't lead with an Optimus. Is there even a plucky sidekick in MOTU? IDIdknough about MOTU to determine whether Buzz-Off would be a good role match for Bee, or indeed whether there's anything other than being yellow there.

This is one of many many times Hasbro's insistence "Optimus vs. Megatron" lets us down. How about Skeletor in Galvatron's armor, Man-At-Arms as Kup. Rodimus/Hot Rod as He-Man/Adam, and, uh, Trap-Jaw and Tri-Clops as Scourge and Cyclonus.

Or Demolishor and Cyclonus. I don't know. This is harder than I thought.

MY POINT IS BB Duncan is not great and there are better warriors and also mentor-figures, instead of "most recognizable."

No dispute here regarding "there are better mentor figures to match with Man-At-Arms". There are many better. But at the same time I've gotten used to the fact that this isn't how these lines are designed. (I was begrudgingly fine with Bee getting crammed into the GI Joe collab, but not as the AWE Striker necessarily. A bike, like he was in that one comic? The Joes have a bike, right?)

Tbh I have less of a problem with it being Bumblebee and more with it being Man-At-Arms. The former is a choice I'm resigned to in ANY line, just because investing in such a venture is going to need to be a seller before a sense-maker (I am resignedly cynical in my old age). But the MOTU half of the equation seems like there are more options, and MAA can then be saved for round two to go with someone that has some recall and fits better (or in a round where the designers have some more freedom after the obligatories are out of the way).

HOWEVER this is likely because I am woefully undereducated about MOTU characters and their public presence (I've never seen MAA be at that level of prominence/familiarity, so to my outsider perspective he could swap out with someone else that might clash less with Bee).

I do love Steadfast's Season 3 cast pairings.

What do you think are GOOD pairings for this "TF themed armor" collab that make sense (idk, Orion Pax-Optimus/Adam- He-Man) or would at least just look good (Reflector/Modulok) and what do you think Hasbro will do to trot out the obligatory evergreen names, sense be damned (idk, Soundwave/Mer-Man)?

[I initially had a question about MOTU vehicles and TF characters, but I think I like the Gigawatt/Agent Knight approach better the GI Joe collab approach for that.]

Bumblebee is the only one leaving me scratching my head, cause its such a weird choice and sure...
Yes, I was thinking of Bumblebee when I wrote that.

Would have put Teela in the Bumblebee armor.

Ironhide is everything thing Duncan is: Mentor, Warrior, Inventor, Friend, except for the inventor part.

We better get a Nemesis Faker out of this.

This is making miss the MASTERS OF THE WWE UNIVERSE line.
