How did we get so dark?

Yeah, that Bumper is super disappointing. The G1 Prime mold looks good in the Magnus colours, and Horri-Bull seems to have turned out decently, but, it's not enough for me to want to track down this set.

I like Bumper enough to want one for the sake of it, and not enough to care about the feet being wrong. This will do.

And that Ultra Magnus. I never knew how much I'd miss this color scheme. Finally, no stupid green. I must have this.

Yeah I would not have been able to afford the troop builder pack if I didn't have a huge coupon. I don't know how I'll manage this.

I got lucky with the previous 4-pack and had a 25% off coupon or something like that.

This one I did have to pay full price for, but I know I would have bought the 3 deluxes at retail price anyway, and Nemesis Prime there would have been a "want-not-need" sort of figure that I for sure would pick up on sale, so that all adds up to the price of this set anyway.

If Bumper didn't have Bumblebee's feet, I wouldn't have any reservatoins about his.

As is, I hope there's a third party kit or something to fix that, because he's already colored too closely to bumblebee, I'd rather he had some more stuff to differentiate him.

It's probably been stated and I can't find it, but what IS Horri-Bull based on, mold-wise? These are usually remolds/recolors and I don't recognize it.

And it wouldn't surprise me to have a Titan Unicron, the idea that a HasLab makes any future remake of the character a no-go makes no sense, any company with IP isn't going to discard a possible merchandiseable character because of perceived value of a product they made, sold, and got their money for years ago. They don't care about 'value' in a secondary market. See TFwiki's commentary on Springer toys, the Protectobot remakes (especially First Aid), etc. Hasbro will bring out a new Unicron when they can milk it the most. It won't be the HasLab Unicron, and I doubt it will be the Armada one as that mold's probably worn smooth by now, so most likely it will be a new mold with no electronics, but maybe a hollow space from the planet 'mouth' so it can eat small Transformers. Then a year or so later there will be a Primus of the same general sort done more 'Cybertron in G1' style.

Oh, there will be a new Unicron eventually. I do think it's still too close to the HasLab for it to be realistic at this point, though. It's going to be a while yet. Mark's interview over at TFW2005 all but confirms that, I think.

Q: Is there any interest in either a Haslab Unicron reissue or a whole new Unicron for the anniversary?
A: Unicron nearly broke our lead engineer the first time around!(hahaha) I’d love to revisit it — it’s such an iconic piece — but I’m not sure it’s in the cards just yet.

The interview was done before the big leak and he notably *didn’t* say “it’s not in the cards” but rather “I’m not sure”

It sucks that Bumper didn't get new toes and is just Bumblebee with a new head, but Hasbro's gotta Hasbro I suppose.

I do have to think that there's a Cliffjumper coming from that mold, and not that Bumper is a Porsche, either, but the general shapes would probably be closer. If the mold already exists, I am surprised they didn't use it.
