I'll pass on this reissue, I never liked the look of that Predaking, it just looked, underwheming compared to a third party one I have, thou its not got the best plastic quailty as its a upscale of another group Predaking!
Whose "official third party" Predaking? Takara Tomy isn't a third party. But in any case, theirs isn't a "mainline retail" offering like this.

I know that this isn't the 3p forum, but I have been quite satisfied with MMC's Feral Rex for years now. I would happily buy a Has/Tak-sanctioned official update (which I technically have, through the upcoming T-Spark), but I passed on Titan Predaking the first go-round and have never felt like I missed out.
The only Titan that I passed on and kind of regretted was Nemesis. Like The Ark, I still don't need it to transform, but at the time, I was unwilling to fork over the dough for something that would remain in one mode for all eternity.

I'm just glad someone made a 1:1 KO of the POTP Predaking, because all I wanted was the Prime Master. The whole thing was just too tall and lanky. (I did also briefly own the OSKO of that one third party Predaking, which was before POTP I think. But I lost interest in that fairly quickly.)

A reissue is tempting. I skipped that one due to expense and it being a bit bigger than I would prefer. I was hoping that the same people that made the undersized KO Titan Devestator (who ends up right about standard Combiner Wars gestalt height) would do the same for Predaking, but they never did. I wish I knew if Hasbro was planning on making a new Predaking, as I'm fine with waiting and playing the long game, but if they never do, I'd hate to lose my chance to buy some version of it at retail price.
Never really cared for the proportions of TR Predaking, and with combiners getting redone anyway, I'm content to wait.
$230 is better than $240 the same way that 12% of a plan is better than 11%.

Man, every time I look at that thing, I wonder if they missed a step to collapse the abdomen. It looks like it should slide down to make him more proportional, but it doesn't. Like they decided that being taller was more important than looking good.
