Does that mean the combination stands even taller than Optimus's Super Mode? 'Cuz that toy on its own was about the same height as the original Armada Optimus toy. If the new Jetfire combination is even taller, then it might be able to stand eye to eye with the likes of Cybertron Primus or even Armada Unicron!

It's a pretty good thing to add. Now the jet pants don't just let this Optimus fly; they also give him the boost he needs to qualify for the REAL baddies with the height specifications on their Tinder profiles. True wingman.

Which are probably just the individual standard-retail versions in their original boxes placed inside the larger boxes, rather than special giftset versions with any proper differences from the originals.

Well, just for Superion, they would have to fit four deluxe boxes and a leader class into one package. It would be easier to just make a new boxset for them.

Four deluxes, one Commander. In any case, these both seem to be more "bundles" than "giftsets", but that's somewhat splitting hairs with semantics.

Although it IS closer to the latter (in the sense that there's special packaging and even some exclusive stickers/decals) than the former, which is much more "that one time you could order all non-Selects POTP Terrorcons in one go and it was just the regular retail releases, packaging and all".

But dang, that G1 style box is so pretty. Loved that on the Legacy Evolution Menasor too, and on Dinoking. I could do with just that and no Funana 'artwork'.

Per TFW, these TRU China exclusive ones are supposedly not the same as the TaoBao ones from late 2025? I have no idea. But it looks to be the same Pat Lee artwork.

In any case, they least don't seem to be in their original boxes within a bigger box; to facilitate the G1 style giftset box, they're all arranged in a foam tray to match the window cutouts of the G1 style giftset boxes.

Interesting if true. I kind of feel like that's probably a digibash of some kind. Not that I don't think that the soccer Transformer would be a good base for a Primus toy, but I really feel like the current design team would do some remolding to the exterior so that it's not just obviously a gold soccer ball.

considering how slavish this team is, I don’t find it likely that they’d release Primus like this, particularly since Vector Sigma, while associated with him, isn’t Primus.

But while I don't know if this is someone's art or a real product, I did think when the soccer ball transformer was first released his engineering was going to be reused SOMEWHERE, Vector Sigma to Alpha Trion or something...they merged, after all.

Yeah I'm thinking digibash or AI as well. The golden part on his lower left arm is large and seems to cover up part of his arm, unlike Breakaway, and it doesn't look like it's part of the box art. Could be a remold, but, if they were gonna do anything beyond an extra head or accessory I'd think they'd remold the exterior, as you said. So my guess is AI recolor and purposely made blurry to obscure some of the imperfections.
