It's a show that exists because someone really wanted to make it. TV standards were really stupidly strict for whatever reason, ensuring it couldn't possibly be done properly. But someone really wanted to make it. Hanna-Barbera had no budget. But someone really wanted to make it. TOHO had a stupid bits-and-pieces model of licensing at the time, so Godzilla cost money, but his roar cost extra, and his rogues gallery cost extra, and Hanna-Barbera was like "Do you know who we are?" and did not pay extra. But someone still really wanted to make the show. I respect that.
