The only reason I’m disappointed in a Megazarak is because I think the deco is pretty nifty, am on a budget crunch this year, and I fear he’ll end up another tail end Charlie like what happened with Legacy Dreadwing. But I already got Galvatron (AND for less than $20!) so it may just be prudent to skip it.
The capsule will be interesting, any word on where it’s ending up? “Energon surge” seems to be a “thing” this year between Cyberworld and this capsule (and maybe other tie in stuff as well), so it’ll be interesting to see how that theme is integrated here, especially in the Weaponizers (Energizers?). The limited number of offerings and “tie to a core line” dynamic makes me think it’ll end up a Walmart thing.
While the Megatron deco sounds interesting, I got at least 3 variations of that basic mold. Black and purple always comes across as sharp (see the Cyberworld Armored CyberChanger), and might end up tempting at a low enough price. We’ll see with the Weaponizers, I’m a sucker for translucent plastic and if that’s integrated, they might snag me. “Blue Optimus Prime” is pretty vague, although not completely without precedent:
My immediate thought was Powered Convoy/Delta Magnus deco, which feels like low hanging fruit and probably not a frontrunner due to the Ultra Magnus connection. Then again, maybe BECAUSE it is so “long hanging” that puts it as more likely? There are also a number of Prime/RiD15 decos that might be fodder for deco inspiration:
The Cyberverse Commander 2 pack with Predaking, which was basically “reverse Prime“ colors.
Rid15’s Blizzard Strike Optimus Prime ( blue cab with gunmetal blue legs), which also feels derived from the Nightwatch deco used in the film toy lines.
RiD15’s Ultra Magnus, which was very blue dominant. Not a 1 to 1 deco translation, but I could see where influence could be pulled
So I’m curious where Hasbro goes with that.
