Oh, in many ways. This has been known for a long time now.
So, Trumpy is having a national address in under an hour...what illegal thing will he say or do?! My top 3 guesses:
1. He's going to have a self-congratulatory speech about his "first year" that will amount to "old man rambling for 15 minutes"
2. We're going to war with Venezuala
3. He's going to declare martial law over some made up emergency.
MAYBE a "Christmas bonus" concerning the tariff "rebates" he's floated before. I think number 1 is most likely.

I hope it's 1, but I have a bad feeling it's 2. He doesn't have the pull to do 3 yet, thankfully. We've already been conducting acts that would give Venezuela the right to counterattack us, might as well make it official.... I'm no fan of Maduro, but trying to force a regime change by force will just end up causing unnecessary death and end up blowing up in our faces per usual. He's only doing it for the oil and bragging rights, too, which makes it worse....
I will be surprised if it's anything other than option 1, but I will be disappointed if it's anything other than option 2. We are owed an explanation for why we're suddenly at war with Venezuela.
