If there wasn't going to be midterm elections: republicans wouldn't be panicking about the midterms.
Some republicans are panicking over the midterms. Others aren't. Maybe the ones who aren't are stupid, but maybe they know something the others don't.

The biggest tell of republican damage will be the immediate crises caused by catastrophic weather and trumps government refusing to do anything about it.

It's like these people have never heard of Occam's Razor...... We've known of the risks of climate change for DECADES combine that with the fact that YES things like this happen even without climate change(the New Madrid earthquake rerouted the Mississippi river and lead to the formation of Reelfoot Lake back in the early 19th century was even MORE extreme). NOAA staffing was slashed by DOGE which OF COURSE is going to affect weather prediction and warning.

While I can't 100% say that climate change was to blame for the flooding and obviously the admin can't control the weather, much of human cost of this disaster lies firmly at the feet of the Trump administration due to their weakening of our ability preemptively protect the residents in the area.

Q found their red line btw.

Who would've thunk it was the client list of a human sex trafficker? I didn't.

Oh and Trump is big mad at Brazil for daring to hold their former president accountable for his own failed coup.

I mean it worked once so it has to work again right?

Ironbite-right?

Yeah, well, the last time the left and the right united over something, it lasted about a week before the right got bored and moved on to hating minorities again.

What's with the weird capitalization in that letter to Brazil? I thought MY typing and formatting was bad, but geez, the Trump admin doesn't even follow proper rules for writing American English in formal documents. Man is an embarrassment to any American who graduated elementary school without cheating.

That's just how Trump writes. Nobody knows why. Qcumbers think the caps are a secret code, but nobody has been able to decipher it yet.

Yes, but his assistants LET him send it out like that. Most presidents would have run such things by at least one person to proofread it.

If you were wondering how that phone grift is going, a journalist gave it a shot to see what the experience was like:

Also acting head of NASA has no space or science background, as per normal for this administration:

Better headline: "I'm Being Grifted by This Well-Documented Grifter and for Some Reason That Surprises Me"

This feels like the natural end result of decades of the GOP proving that the government is broken by breaking it themselves.

Only reason they put Duffy up as acting NASA chief was to get someone who hates Musk in place to really screw with him.

Ironbite-that and to gut NASA.

I guess one would normally expect such a successful and high-profile grifter to be a little cleverer than just collecting credit card numbers and then hitting them with blatantly fraudulent charges. And maybe there was a time when he would have been. But at this point, why bother? He could probably personally saunter into Fort Knox and walk off with their entire stash of gold, confident that nothing will come of it beyond a lot of people getting angry on TV.

I think you're underestimating the satisfaction he gets from grifting.
