He definitely rewrote the beginning of this speech. Obviously he had to talk about the assassination attempt, and it was all very somber and probably will get some praise.

It somewhat abruptly morphed into the speech he originally planned on giving.

Memorable moment: he brought out the chart. "Last time I put up that chart I never really got to look at it." He has reached the gallows humor stage.

Forget all the talk about him maybe changing his tune. This is a 2016 speech. He rewrote the beginning and nothing else.
