He's a wannabe fascist dictator, isn't that what they all try and do to secure power? The scary part is his followers would cheer such a move on despite the fact that once he pulls something like that off, they won't be any safer from his wrath than anyone else.

The question going around is "why so long?" when her FIRST trial date was the end of august.
Trump and his cronies pushed for a later date. They originally wanted to push it until after the election was over entirely. At which point, if he wins, he'll try to pardon himself.
Just watch. When that date rolls around, they'll ask for another delay because he'll be so busy on the campaign trail and can't possibly make it to court. It's the same scheme, just with more steps.

I recognize that she only put it in the august date so trump could object and look at least viable in the objection. I'm wondering why no one is calling her out for overruling her own date?
I'm still wondering why nobody pushed for her to be removed from the trial entirely, considering who appointed her and her proven biases in previous cases involving him.

ngl, i get the doomism around this jive, but i sort of doubt this'll go trump's way. again, if he's just charged with sedition or insurrection, he's basically SOL and can't run for office again, and SCOTUS can't do jive about it bc it's in the constitution.
It's a renegade court though (and once again: I hate that reality has ruined an awesome word.) and if benefits THEM they will happily make treason legal.
Most Floridians want DeSantis to give up on his hopeless campaign and do the job he was just reelected to do.
