Toy shelf head Canon

I have two of the Kingdom Galvatron mold, the toy colors one and the one from Legacy without the scuffs on it.

One is a reformatted Megatron.

The other is a unique character, more akin to IDW or the OG tech specs.

Which is which changes on a whim depending on how much I'm into the idea of Galvatron's colors resembling Megatron's or being like the cartoon or whatever.
My headcanon is that SS '86 Galvatron is Megatron after he was originally reformatted into Galvatron. Gen Selects toy colours Galvatron is Galvatron after he's regained his sanity and remember his past as Megatron. Working some Megatron colour scheming back into his look.

I have four versions of the Kingdom Galvatron mold:
  • Legacy (purple w/ no scuffs): His own person, a la IDW Galvatron
  • Selects (gray toy colors): Galvatron II or Marvel UK Galvatron (depending on my mood; mostly just "Marvel-esque Galvatron from an alternate future")
  • Studio Series 86 (blurple): G1 Cartoon Megatron reformatted
  • Behold: Galvatron (translucent purple): Immortal ghost Galvatron/living embodiment of the "G-Virus" (largely inspired by the absolutely ruthless "Destroyer of Worlds" description of Galvatron from Beast Wars: Uprising)
Nice!

I usually don't double-dip molds, especially as prices have gone up, but I couldn't help myself on this one. One effectively represents the character I've always loved and the other a toy I've always wanted (just, y'know, modernized).

Ok - there are groups of TFs on my shelves that get some attention, and some that just look cool and occasionally get taken down off the shelf and re-arranged.

G1/G2, Armada guys, and Beast Wars characters are basically who they were in the show. (Or they looked cool so I bought them.)

I do have a shelf with my last couple Energon and Cybertron figures, along with the older Classics etc. figures - these were favorites at one point, but now they're almost like my post Disney expanded universe characters, because they're a specific group of characters, including some fan characters, but they don't fit into an existing storyline.

I have a CR/RID shelf - some of the toys are imported, and some I bought during RID, and while I don't do much with those, I don't want to part with them - I built up that set, including replacing a broken Mach Alert, and I want to hang on to them.

The story I had in mind for that CR/RID shelf morphed into what I'm working on for my more recent WFC, Legacy/etc., and studio series shelves. These are the current "cast," and I'm trying to put this together, but it's slow, and most of it is still in a bulleted "timeline" document. The CR/RID cast is actually used as a fake old TV show in this story as cover for the main characters early on.

Every so often I wonder if I should just treat them all as actors with names like Garry or Frank, and they play specific roles at different times - especially when I have something like 2010 Jazz getting replaced by Studio Series Jazz. Reading about how Mario, Bowser, and everyone else are really just friends that hang out "off camera" probably influenced that. There's also a little M'Baku bobblehead that a student gave me a long time ago. I move him around every so often as if he's threatening another group of 'bots with feeding them to his children.

IDW 2019 throwing in (or cementing, idk when it FIRST first came up) the idea that Bombshell makes (inferior, to Shockwave's at least) Insecticlones has given me another way to justify having at least a few different body types kicking around, if not color schemes.

I've decided to solve the Onslaught Gun Problem using the Red Cog pack, as I saw on this board. Thing is, I used most of the pack because I couldn't decide which option/combination I liked best. I will dismiss it as Brawl noting they were a gun short, so he placed an order. Swindle didn't think to question why there were so MANY guns in the order before he filled it (this was Brawl after all, so it totally flew under his radar). Onslaught has told everyone bluntly there's no place to store all these parts. Brawl doesn't care, he keeps spouting the "wisdom" of some philosopher species no one else has ever heard of that he's seriously bought into. Something about 'more dakka'.

On my shelves, season 1 & 2 are pretty much the cast of the show with the edition of Armada Hot shot for the Autobots, Decepticons its a few extras, like RTS Lugnut, Selects Exhaust, RTS Lockdown, Legacy Tarn plus Maketoys Nemesis Prime

On the season 3 plus shelf for Autobots a few extras, RID2001 Build team as Landfill, Legacy Bulkhead wreckers version, AKA military camouflage version, Impactor from the WFC, Bumblebee has upgraded to the major game that got canned a while back, I forget the name of it, Armada Hothot has upgraded to his Powerlynx colours, the original Windblade figure on that shelf as none of the later figures have been appealing in terms of colours, DOTM Sentinel Prime is there along with Metalhawk, Armada Red Alert is apart of the shelf, the old Generations Orion Pax is there as well plus the first Drift figure and the only female Headmaster from Masterforce, Override apart of this display, while the rest of the shelf is pretty much the original season 3, 86 movie cast including Hot Rod!

On the Decepticon shelf Soundwave is using his Unicron trilogy Cybertron/Galaxy force figure, animated Bludgeon, Cybertron/GF Scourge, AKA Flame Convoy, Maketoys Nova Prime, Rumble & Frenzy has upgraded to their Unite tank figures, Staxus is apart of the display along with the Coronation Starscream, thou Galvatron is rightfully having the throne and he not happy about it, RTS Teradive is there plus Counterpunch, I really need to take some pictures of the shelves on the bookcase as that only four shelves, out of six, the fifth shelf is a mix, mostly the 86 Dinobots along with a few other figures and the final shelf is TFP figures, can't put any figures on top of the bookcase due to it having a lot of stuff up there related to computers, AKA keyboards cables among some other things, that's the core section where's other areas have a lot of different figures!
