Got my hair cut, feel a bit better now that it's been cut back, but what made me smile, while I was getting my hair cut, a dog just randomly wonders in for a quick nose around, I gave it a quick pat on the back before it left the shop to go back to its owners, its a quiet area where my hairdresser is with most of the shops being take aways, but I'm guessing the dog was apart of a group of people coming away from a nursery (Preschool) or heading for the nearby primary schools to pick up their kids as my area isn't known for strays

wonko the sane?

Woke and the temperature was half of what it was yesterday, cleaned the house this morning, took a nice walk before lunch, found a five dollar bill on the street, found myself a new dentist (Which is basically 100% free as I got my paperwork for the canadian dental care plan.) and saw some friends while out.

It was a damn fine day. And it's barely 1 pm.

Been a hell of a long while since I've had a good day. Not saying I'm having bad days, but a good one is a nice change.

Was the song, such a prefect day playing in the background as you did all of those things?

Not so much happy, as... thoughtful. I think.

About 7 years ago; mom's garden rotted through the third change of boards in it's lifetime. We were overdue to move the garden (letting the soil rest.) so mom decided, and I quote, "hug wood" and we bought three minivan loads of cinderblocks. Then three minivan loads of concrete mix. I then spent the next week spacing, leveling, and hand mixing cement to create a two brick tall cinderblock wall to contain the garden. I then spent the next 7 years diligently mixing fertilizers into the bed to ensure we don't need to move the bed anymore. Got some damn fine tomatoes and herbs out of that garden.

I was proud of that shitty wall. It was a lot of effort, but it was still straight (despite not having a foundation.) and very functional. Very brutalist in style, but it was bare cinderblock, what do you want?

This coming thursday, foundation work starts on the house: the garden bed was too close to the house and would impede the machinery and work, so my shitty wall had to go. I've spent an hour and a half (spread out over three days cause we got enough lead time I didn't need to kill myself to do it.) breaking down that shitty garden wall and carting off the wreckage.

Nothing is forever, no matter how much effort you put into it: and that's okay. Sometimes you need to remove what's there to make the room for something else, maybe something better. Mom is going to switch to raised garden boxes, and the foundation won't leak anymore. I'll take that trade.

My latest TF arriving made me happy, he big and likes trucking

In other words had Star Optimus Prime, better known as Star Convoy arrive and then I started having some ideas for few pictures that I'll do later on or tomorow

A few things!

1) In our ongoing 5e D&D campaign, my werewolf paladin got to lay a critical haymaker smite with her final spell slot on a large minotaur animated skeleton! It lumbered up to attack our kobold rogue while my character was standing just around the corner. She looked up, grinned, and BAM! She also got a cinematic kill at the end with the final cultist, literally leaping on him, tearing his throat out with her teeth, then howling out her victory. (And no, as her lycanthropy comes from a fae "blessing", she can't pass it on.)

2) I'd been working for the past week on and off on a abandoned and ruined adaptorium in Southern Elsweyr in Elder Scrolls Online to turn it into a home for the two khajiit I posted earlier, and serve as a hub for re-founding the Order of the Hidden Moon. Earlier today I finally got it as done as I can at the moment, other than setting up pathing for a couple NPCs. It's not fully done, as I need a few specific pieces of furniture from furniture packs that aren't available right now and may not be available until sometime next year even, but it's as good as I can get it until those become available.

3) I got another commission back from an artist of my chakat character! It's a lot harder than you'd think to find an artist that does faux magazine covers, and has an artstyle I like. Given how late it is, I'll probably post it tomorrow in my art thread in Mayhem.

What made me smile is that a year ago I wouldn't have a clue what you just said, but after playing Pathfinder for a little while I followed the whole thing.

Also - glad the dice rolled in your favor!

What made me happy and a little sad at the same time today was seeing my niece glammed up for her Prom, its hard to believe that she has reached that stage in life where she got a boyfriend and going to a Prom, honestly, I thought she still had one more year of secondary school left (High school for you Americans), she looked great, we met the boyfriend for the first time today, he was dressed up smartly in a posh suit, but my niece still looked better in my eyes!

Stopped by a store on the way back from my doctor's appointment(nothing serious, Doc just moved practices and I needed to get my medical history transferred over) and they had a "hamburger" cake!! It's been a couple years since I've been able to get one of these in time for my birthday coming up!

The "burger" is chocolate, and the "bun" from what I remember is white cake.

The new episode of Game Changer on Dropout TV has left me with a gigantic smile as it made me double over in laughter to the point I nearly blacked out.
