Well, after keeping an eye on ebay for reasonably priced Robolinks sets, I bought an almost complete Force 30 that came with a smattering of other bots/accessories. While very fun to mess with on their own, I also love that the various Modulator style bots can mix with them as well.

Just some more playing with megaCog. Added some more dakka and a Boba-Fett jetpack/rocket launcher. And a pet.

Those are great combos! Is that Captain Volca's Dino head? If so, those Wildoking figures are smaller than I realized!

Came across a few good finds today for $5 each (not the Ironhide /Prowl)

Pictured left to right are:

Converters Bandit, which I already had a copy of, but this one has stiffer leg joints allowing him to actually stand up, plus he was $5, so who am I to say "no?"

Remco Zybots, the recolor of Mach-1. Can't find much information on this one, as the recolor was apparently extremely rare. The only info I could find online was here at The Liberator. Got some more photos at the bottom of the post.

And a Kinsman Andro-Tank, which is my first Kinsman toy. His motor works great, so he's a lot of fun to send wheeling across the floor with his guns blasting.

Anyway, some additional pictures of the rare(?) Zybot:

Even that thing bothers to hide the limbs in jet mode.

Okay they're not great limbs. But the layout has potential.

Yeah, I have several Zybots, and this one really goes above and beyond for that line. it definitely still "feels" cheap, but there are a lot of moving parts to rearrange everything between the two modes, 3 retractable landing gear, and a really clean jet mode.

I'm sure a lot of the designers of these things fantasized about getting to work for Bandai or Takara, and sincerely tried to do the best possible job their company was willing to pay for. Which wasn't much, but they were sure gonna get it.

Back before I got married, I briefly toyed with the idea of buying as many Bandits as I could find on ebay and making a Transformers Casino diorama. Even now, its one of those figures I would buy any time I found it for a reasonable price.

All of those are nice finds! Congrats!

I've been thinking of a couple of pictures I could take with 2 slot machines and a few other assorted bots.
