The first mass-produced cannon for Studio Series Megatron is on sale. It is a huge improvement in robot mode though tank mode does end up more cartoonishly ridiculous as a result. LEDs are included but that means that the stock barrel extension and blast effects won't work. Eh. Personally, I'll keep waiting.

These 3D printed head pop up every once in a while with varying levels of appropriateness. THis is supposed to be Skybound Megatron I guess but it looks like a 3D version of that meme.

DNA has a new Fallen kit coming up. Takes from the Flame Toys version with the oversized shoulderpads and chainsword. Comes with new bigger flame effects, a new spearhead, randomly clear purple filler parts and feet because of course DNA's gonna slip in height boosters somewhere. The sword is also sold separately with a clear orange and purple variants available. Of note is that the new feet parts prevent the feet from folding flat in tank mode and leave them sticking out the back.

Think I might spring for the whole kit if it improves the turret stability.

I dont get it. What exactly is lifting the backpack up supposed to accomplish? Even the cartoon model doesn't do that.

Guess it just looks a bit neater and he doesn't end up with a semi literal dump truck ass. That's one of my concerns with the Devy.

That movie headsculpt for Op is great. I've been looking at the one Achai offers but idk how easily those install since the base mold has to have those movable antennae. I'd get this one but I may be the one person on earth who didn't think about that Megatron arm ever again after seeing the panel for the first time and is now tired of seeing it everywhere. (And who doesn't want the trouble of reselling it; got too much of that already on my plate.)

I tend to follow these and keep an eye out as alt heads is one of the 3P/upgrade things I'm always most on board for. They're just maddeningly expensive for what they are.

Currently have my eye on a Terminus-ish head I can put on my old Miner Megs custom so he can hang out with the Legacy retool. Maybe a Spinister head for the AOTP one? Not comic accurate, but more distinct from the Siege release. I'd be up for a better Cyclonus head, but the only one I've seen turn up is a take on the IDW/MTMTE look. And Achai's too busy upgrading his upgraded upgrades on Prima and/or taking requests from an exhausting thread to get around to this admittedly unimportant idea.

I went with this Optimus head because while Achai’s head looks good, this is comparable in aesthetics and around the same price for the entire set even if I don't used the arm. Plus, this head has added articulation. After taking photos, I placed the arm in a ziplock bag in my parts box while Brawn’ got the cannon. the handle’s not great for a handheld grip so I may put it in storage after all.

Kind of regret buying it on eBay since it recently started showing up on Shopee and with vouchers would have been slightly cheaper and with no shipping. Ah well.

I think the added articulation is my favorite thing about it. Did see that on Shopee (the set's about twice what Achai's head alone goes for?) but idk how flipping half that set would go.

Huh. Must have been something else I was thinking of. Looking it up now, Achai’s Optimus head is indeed cheaper.

I just want some articulated hands for 86 Devvy. I don't need all the rest of the crap. I'm fine with his backpack as is. It give me a place to put a Megatron so it looks like he's directing him in battle.
The Fallen kit looks good, but really the figure doesn't really need it. It's an amazing toy on its own.
Wonder if we're going to get a hand kit for Star Convoy. I wouldn't mind some articulated fingers for him as long as he can still hold his gun well.
