I attempted the striping when I digibashed Siege Prime, but it is really not fun when the mold details just aren't there for it.

This box art has always intrigued me. I think I like it more than the toy it comes with. Per the wiki, it's recolored from this original piece:

I've long wondered what the rest of this armored Magnus would look like if they stuck to the white cab (no blue legs for visual interest) deco. Maybe bring over the belt/waist details but leave the rest. There's just something oddly appealing about seeing the armored form in almost Lucky Draw-ish monochrome with the most minimal pops of color. Ultra Blandness.
Now I'm just wondering what the rest of this armored Magnus would look like if worked on by someone with actual skill.

All these Ultra Magnus concepts, yet I still wait for Ultra Trion to become reality
They'll have to get tired of making Alpha Trion a lion first.
They're just trying to make enough to construct a Vol-trion out of all unique molds
It's a shame there isn't a tiny armored Magnus that can be experimented on for thi-- hmm.
Shame it's non-transforming, but they'll probably make a vehicle mode one too anyway.

Funnily enough, Nova Prime's IDW design was originally drawn by Don Figueroa as a powered up form for Optimus. The design ended up being passed over, and Don simply recoloured it when he needed a design for a new Prime, when Nova came along.
I really like the Nova that Hasbro made, but I hope one day they can revisit that and make an accurate one (including wings that aren't frozen fanned-out stub y bits). Maybe have Energon Rodimus as the pretool or something.
Unfortunately, the NovaPrime we got suffered from being a planned mold reuse for the centerpiece of a cancelled Thanksgiving exclusive capsule.
In other words, we should be thankful we got it at all?
I took it to mean something about the mold being a real turkey...
I just thought that the wings being so wide, flat and spread out made Nova’s wings look more like a turkey’s tail than angel wings.

Everyone knows the REAL centerpiece for the cancelled Thanksgiving line was a BW Megatron remold:
