Did not expect to find this -

Looking up Alchemist Prime led to Beast Wars Uprising led to looking for pictures of Commandrons, because I had all four and we got them when I went to Expo 86 . . . which led to looking up pictures of Expo Ernie. And then I found this . . . (https://vancouversun.com/gallery/photos-remembering-expo-86-in-vancouver)

(Turns out Starscream's shaking hands with the Expo 86 CEO.)

Looking closely, it seems that Starscream's wings are flipped compared to the toy instructions and Marvel model. Probably that was done to avoid upside-down insigniae (though Marvel and Sunbow had a workaround for that...)

Also, he's got a slightly different colour scheme here -- Marvel-G1 gave him a black chest until the Underbase saga, G2 swapped out the blue for light gray, and Sunbow (and Mainframe) would have used more shades of gray than seen here.

Anyway, I wonder if a similar suit was used for the Thundercracker photographed at the Animated Movie Premiere? (How typical that Thundercracker would skip Canada for Hollywood.... 😉)

And did Hasbro make extra suits? Not that anyone in 1986 anticipated the later Seeker Recolour Mania, but how cool would it be to go digging through the archives and make a promotional Sunstorm (or perhaps Red Wing, to keep a Canadian theme?).
