Haha, I tried to get my friend to watch it so we could review it but he couldn't stand all the silliness! He tapped out during the car functions part.
I finished the rest and was ok with it.
I'm wondering if the snowman thing is a reference to several killer living snowman b movies?
Also, I totally did not recognize Pamela Anderson.

Well, that was something that I certainly watched. I mean, I had some laughs here and there, but...I don't know. It just didn't hit quite right. I can't explain it, really. Like, the jokes...I mean, like I said, I had some laughs here and there. But for the most part, the jokes just didn't land right for me. It's like, they tried to make a screwball comedy, but they only went half way. They didn't push things as far as the old movies did.
It's like, the screwball comedy is kind of a dead art and as much as they tried to revive it here...it just felt, I don't know...lacking.
Was it just me?

You just can't beat the original with the meeting being crashed by Drebin all the way to the Nordberg flip. It's not like they (the new team making the new one) tried to either, the ingredients were right but something was off, maybe the cinematography, soundtrack or lack of memorable scenes. like the car chase or 'nice beaver' scene of the original.

I watched this this weekend, and I loved it! A lot of the jokes were spoiled in the trailer, but there were still some great ones in there. I loved the running jokes like the coffee and the sleeping husband. The turkey scene went a little far but was funny, and the whole weekend snowman music video was epic! I didn't like the whole Owl ending but I thought that the fight scene was great! Loved that Weird Al was back in this one again too!
They recycled a few jokes but they did their own thing too. Over all, I would highly recommend anyone that liked the originals give this a watch.
