Comparison of the KO toy and combined anime versions of Powermaster Optimus Prime/Ginrai.
Pretty sure this is the right thread for these . . .
My wife brought something home from a yard sale.
It sortof transforms, or at least some parts shift a little bit. It It holds together with magnets, and I think we're only missing one piece. It has a (really loud) clip that sounds like it's from a Transformers toy, but I wonder if they "borrowed" the sample. (it was crazy loud . . . first thing I did was take out the batteries because it was easy to bump the button.)
I think I found it online - but what the unholy hell did my wife bring home?

Until we know, since it's a set of magnetic construction vehicles, I dub it Build Cling.
Got any guesses at the robot mode arrangement?

It IS funny. I can't stop laughing about how it magnetically attaches!
I don't know. Sounds like something someone who would hurt kids would say.....
I believe generic/transforming robot toys, including ones from China and Korea, can be thought of as "honorary knock-offs"...

That's a great little (well, actually pretty big) robot! I love the extremely "common" alt mode. I've never ordered anything from Ali Express. Is it reputable at all?
I've never ordered from it either. It's pot-luck, I think. Other TF KO collectors have used it, but I prefer the relative safety and after-sales service of Show-Z (which don't always sell such cheaper toys like this).
I think we need a thread for things that are neither knockoffs (copies with some modification) or "third party" (copying a character but with a new design) but that aren't a big enough deal to merit their own thread. Sticking them in this thread just muddles things. And yes, sometimes these things are knockoffs of properties so obscure none of us have heard of them, but if it's not obvious (like the OSKO copies), it really doesn't belong in this thread.

Usually, such figures are included in other TF KO threads and videos (such as the "Ben's KOllectibles" videos at YouTube). Many KO collectors usually gravitate to those types of figures too.
However, nothing's stopping anyone from creating a thread just for those.
A new one for me. I got it off of ebay, so didn't find it "in the wild" or anything, but still love it.
Missing one Dinosaur leg and the robots gun/spaceship turret, but it does have the original box! Not sure if the dinosaur was supposed to be friend or foe, but I like to think of him as a pet.

KO G1 Black Zarak.
Not really a KO, but an original figure from a different line. This is Quantum Heroes Mosa Storm. I ran across him on Amazon when buying something else. For $40, I decided to take a chance.
He's right at Leader scale, perfect for being a Decepticon counterpart to the SS Dinobots
Very nice figure, especially $40. Articulation is great, only missing wrist swivels to be pretty much perfect. Plastic is a bit on the softer side compared to Hasbro, but it's not like, shampoo-bottle plastic or anything.
Transformation-wise, he's kind of a triple changer? He converts from robot mode to a futuristic tank / armored car type thing that looks like something Shockwave would turn into:
The missile / gun things can come off and be moved to other ports if desired.
He then has several accessories (head, tail, and fins) that can be attached to the vehicle to turn him into a mosasaur, or at least some sort of mosasaur-mobile.
When in robot mode, the mosasaur bits become his scythe and wings, or can be combined in other arrangements as various knifey-stabby things. All in all, a pretty good figure for the price and a great Evil Dinobot!
