These big head toys may just become the death of me.

Decided to go toon with this guy so that he properly looks like AOTP Bruticus’ Minime.

The light up eyes kinda suck. Because the LEDs are buried so deep into the gigantic noggin, you can’t really see them unless the room is dark.

I think they are KOs of upgrade weapons for a Bayverse prime but I'm not sure which one. They don't fit on the KO Prime they came with (above).

Think those are based on the spiked knuckles Op deployed in DOTM to take out Shockwave. The Baiwei kits pack them with the Bay trilogy Voyager Op KO as part of an upgrade/accessory kit.

Had him for a while. I like him well enough, but it illustrated for me how much I'm just not into the Diaclone play pattern. Needless to say I'm glad I didn't pay the full price for the Official toy.

Hey paisanos! It’s the Super Dreadwing Bros. Super Show!
IMG_6036.jpeg

Skyquake’s green is very similar to the Legacy toy but a tad darker and metallic. Closer to pine green than Legacy’s army green. aside from some dodgy paint aps on the minigun, Skyquake is perfect. Better I get the defective paint than some schmuck who can’t fix it I guess.

Also added the red lines on Skyquake’s thighs and Dreadwing’s gold cuffs for even more symmetry. Thinking about Skyquake’s feet but that would mean painting Dreadwing’s side toes so laziness may win out there.

APC Skyquake comes hot off the heels of his brother, Dreadwing. He is a straight redeco in terms oft the main body, although he comes with a minigun instead of the laser cannon. He doesn't come with Dreadwing's bombs, although, he doesn't use them in his time on the show, so whatever. At least they threw in a sword though. Overall, it's the same but with the tolerances slightly tweaked. His hands no longer get stuck inside the forearms but otherwise everything's nice and tight. He comes with the same two alternate heads Dreadwing did: a smirking head and a teeth gritted angry head, but I prefer the neutral face if anything because the alternate heads are a bit smaller.

Slight paint differences include the "cuffs" on the back of Skyquake's hands being painted, and ommiting the black recatangle on the feet, but with the sides of his feet being painted in gunmetal and black. Everything else is identical to Dreadwing but in different colors.

The minigun is the only signifiicant new tooling. It only shares the handle parts with Dreadwing's cannon. It looks good although some of the gunmetal detail on the tube things scuffed in the box. Of note, unlike usual minigun accessories, each barrel is a separate tube instead of the usual large sculpted fused barrel. It doesn't serve any purpose but it looks neat. The barrel rotates but is tight and doesn't spin freely.

Transformation is the same and results in the same jet Dreadwing did but green. It's now significantly easier to fold the hands in and out of the forearms between modes. No flight scenes since these guys are heavy and I don't have enough heavy duty flight stands.

He's based of a good and relatively rare toy and retails for slightly less than a Leader class toy. He looks the part and has no significant problems. I'd recommend him highly if you're into the Prime show or aesthetic.
