And off we go! And straight off Bad-Static drives right into the wall. And he's not backing up at all. He is grinding very hard into that wall.

Meanwhile Good-Static and Scarlet Senior are neck and neck, tied in third. Hazy in second gaining fast on Scarlet Jr. And what's this? Oh! Red shell by Hazy right into the back of Scarlet Jr.'s cart and Hazy takes the lead. Scarlet Senior and Good Static pass Scarlet Jr as he fight the stars whirling around his head.

And now Hazy is taking a commanding lead, already at the first checkpoint. Good Static and Scarlet Senior both pick up a green shell. Oh if looks could kill, these two are staring eachother down. Woah! Would you look at that! Senior and Good Static take eachother out with duo-green shells and Scarlet Junior is back in second. And Bad-Static is still has the pedal to the metal driving straight into the wall.

And now on the third leg of this race, Hazy is still well ahead of the others. She has this in the bag. There is no way the others can possibly catch up to her now. She is right on the other side of the bridge across from the finish line. It's not even close. And....oh wow! Would you look at that!?

But wait. At almost the last possible second, lightning strikes, shrinking Hazy and allowing Scarlet Jnr to pip her at the post!

’Scarlet Snr eventually trundles past, still looking very shellshocked. Pun intended’

Scarlet Snr: Next race, I am inking you with extreme prejudice Stasi. And you’re the good one?
