Geez. That is freaking tempting! To be honest its more tempting than Ultra Magnus as I have always wanted and never got that color scheme.

I do still wonder why the buggy has Fortress Maximus's head. It just strikes me as so odd whenever I see it. Though I guess this one is Grand Maximus's.

The buggy is older than Fort Max, so we can say Max ripped off the buggy's head design. :p

Lost dreams link over time!

A virtual reproduction of the "Missing Link" series that might exist in that era. In that 11th release, Delta Magnus, the leader of the outer space forces Prime Vanguard, has appeared. The colouring of the Diaclone "Powered Convoy," which is the source of Ultra Magnus, Early Colour, known for its appearance in the Transformers Movie pilot film, has appeared in missing link, as the advance commander Delta Magnus.

The Optimus-type robot with the lorry part has been added to the same series C-01 Optimus Prime and has been adapted to the integration mechanism with the carrier. Part of the die-cast configuration allows the parts to be freely positioned even when combined with the movable joints.

In addition to being equipped with multiple missing link products sold separately, the car carrier can also be transformed into a variety of forms similar to that of the current product, such as maintenance bases, command bases, and mobile operations base.

In addition, some parts have been changed from C-10 Ultra Magnus, and the detailed differences in the sticker design of the original product have been recreated using carving and painting.

This time, the magical "Powered Buggy" that was included with the previous Diaclone version of the Transformers, has been recreated just like the C-10 Ultra Magnus.

The replacement mechanism has been redesigned to completely convert specifications, and the only "Cybertron Power Drive" setting is present, and the first production is included.

In addition, the Delta Magnus chest panel is similar to the C-10 Ultra Magnus, which restores the wheels that were removed at the time and restores the original Armour-Jet form.

Each can be combined with the Delta Magnus main unit.

The product also comes with a human (female) figure, so it can ride either the Cybertron Power Drive or Armour Jet.

The Optimus-shaped robot body also has a rubsign attached to the body, and an Autobot symbol appears when you warm it up with your finger.

The back of the Optimus-shaped robot, Delta Magnus, and Cybertron drive is equipped with a joint hole for stands, which can be displayed in action poses.

The package illustration is based on the imagery of the time and includes a collection card.

Looks like Takara couldn't trademark Powerdrive's name as is and so have to call him "Cybertron Powerdrive" instead.

Okay, this is the one. As much as I want a toy style Ultra Magnus with a proper inner robot, and as much as I think Missing Link is the only way that's ever going to be done right, my love of Diaclone is overriding all that. This is beautiful.

Ages ago, that was actually the thing that stopped me from buying an Ultra Magnus. I'm that bad.

I generally don't want Missing Link correcting the designs, but I'm okay with this because there was truly no reason for the toy to ever have that flaw in the first place. There is no limitation of 1983 technology that made that necessary.

Aren't the missile launchers offset because they plug into holes that are offset on the arms? Pretty sure those ports mesh into each other in trailer mode to lock the arms together, and are offset in order to do that; the only way the missile launchers wouldn't be offset was if they had attached in a different way or location?

Stepwise

...even Team Whirl.
Citizen
Yes - they would've had to attach the missiles differently or come up with a different way to pin the arms together in the trailer (etc.) mode.
