How do you know it's not universally true? Where's your source?

And I'm just kidding, not discounting anyone's experiences here. This was just the first thing I thought of when PXC asked for a source. 😹

It's quite silly to ask in any case. It's exceedingly difficult to provide evidence of a negative in the context of observable phenomenon. There's a reason why scientific studies default to the null hypothesis.

Yeah see you gotta limit it to just the Local Group, it's not unreasonable to come to the conclusion that people who own Missing Link Convoy over in the Andromeda Galaxy might have tight thigh swivels on their figures but then when you start claiming that people in the Cartwheel Galaxy have tight thigh swivels on their Missing Link Convoys? Yeah nah see now you're just assuming stuff/

As much as I actually do really like this Ultra Magnus, something about the proportions (big head, relatively short, stocky legs) and the hollow eyes give the robot mode an almost Ben Cooper Halloween Costume look.

Magnus looks like he's giving himself a backrub!

One of the major advantages of being a multi-part robot! There are no more itches that can't be reached!

So, Magnus, Sunstreaker, Cordon, and Arcee are all Missing Link figures. Does anyone else feel like Silverbolt is the odd bot out? Has there been any hints of an ML Silverbolt/Superion?

Not that I've heard. I'd assume it's just a reference to the old commercial. Carrying and launching Silverbolt was something he was specifically shown to be able to do.

Yeah, I don't think we should read too much into Silverbolt's inclusion here, but I do think it's interesting that they had to pull an old G1 figure out of storage when they were otherwise promoting their recent ML releases.

Completely random thought: I really hope those missiles are compatible with the launchers used on the old Hasbro reissue. I never liked those ridiculously long missiles, but never cared enough to try to track down replacements. Since this one apparently comes with an extra pair, I could steal a couple to improve my G1 copy! If I end up buying this, anyway...

So he clearly has knees but I still can't tell if he can bend his legs upwards at the hips (as opposed to just out sideways). Looks like there's a split there (so he can split his legs sideways at an angle) but it seems like the ridge on that hip joint wouldn't allow forward movement. That one pic with his knee bent sorta looks like there's some forward movement but it might just be a trick of the angle. Also makes it look like the legs of the inner robot would need to bend forwards at the knee which I'm not sure it can do (not sure if ML Optimus can, or if it's modified from that).

Just curious since adding knees alone would be of limited use without also being able to bend the legs forward at the hips.
