Well, the guys I thought I'd want...are now confirmed wants. Hopefully, I'll be able to get them without too much trouble.
I am all about those cassettes.

I do think I prefer my current licensed Volkswagen Goldbug, but that cassette pack is amazing. Nautica, Starscream, and Guzzle are also must-haves. The Valentine's Day pack looks good and I appreciate the wackiness of the packaging and overall concept, but I don't know how much I need it.
I also appreciate the use of the extra accessories as well as the alternate Prime head just for the sake of changing things up.
I like the cassettes a lot and that Red Alert is what I wish they had done from the beginning. Not sure I'll be getting Red though, because just like the recent Seekers, I'm beyond done with chasing figures that already have perfectly fine modern intrepretations.
I also grow weary of the "hey, this figure is sooooo much better than the one we did like 2 years ago, so throw that old thing out!!" mentatlity. I know that times are tough, and Hasbro are scrimping just like the rest of us, but all of these expensive retools / remakes / leftovers are not what I want out of the hobby. /rant.

Red Alert's vehicle mode looks cool. His arms bug me - I know it's a toy reinterpretation, like Trailbreaker and Hoist, but those panels get in the way.
Goldbug's robot mode looks cool, but the chunky hinges above his rear wheels still bother me. I know design teams change and all that, but those weren't necessary at one point . . . why do we have to have them now?
Cassettes look cool, and I might pick those up.
The Valentine's Day set cracks me up. It's a parody like the Movie Apology tour was, along with a bonus way to get some of the accessory pack items. I don't know if I'll go for it or not, but even if they'd just released package art that people could use as wallpaper, it would've been a fun concept.

We're going to see a lot more stuff like the valentine's day pack I think. Budget's are going to continually be cut to the bone to appease the vision of Chris Cocks and part of that is going to be finding any excuse to reuse old molds. Stuff like this, product repacks (remember when we weren't supposed to be getting those anymore), more redecos.
Mission/event/holiday/whatever multipack are frigging great though. Bring them on.
That Goldbug is a pretty nice, and I don't think I have a modern version of that, so I will be getting it. Red Alert, looks pretty nice, and I will be adding him to my G1 shelf, replacing/upgrading his CHUG toy. The Cassettes are a must have for me, but I don't like that they are going to be exclusives.

I'm a bit concerned about availability where I am for Red Alert and Nautica. Hope we get a good size shipment in stock locally, because the recent bs with Swindle and Cyclonus and whatnot has just sucked all the fun right out of the process.

That cassette pack is extremely underwhelming in my eyes, it contains a bunch of characters that I don't know, a version of Ramhorn I don't want, and a single one of Blaster's minions that has actually been on screen, in the end, this pack isn't going to be worth it, I want Ramhorn but I couldn't justify the pack he was originally in because I already had the main figure and so I passed on it
That's fair. This isn't for you, it's for me. I have a Ramhorn, don't need a new one. I want an opaque plastics Rewind. And I REALLY want these unmade obscure randos that mostly only exist as ideas on an old script draft. (And Stripes, who has been made before but is otherwise in that group. And SG Ramhorn, who's random in a different way but welcome.)

I kinda want to see a set of Action Master partners from the tape molds. Say, Lionizer, Sights, and Top-Heavy vs Wingthing, Scorpulator, and Screech.
Yeah, there is some stuff but at the moment, there's nothing out of the reveals I want
I would've loved to see Battle Masters continue with all of those. But I'll take them as cassettes. Scorpulator at the top of that list. Overkill/Tyrannitron. Slugfest/Gatoraider? Grand Slam/Push-Button or Fistfight or something. Raindance/Sights.
My only issues with the cassette pack are that it looks like Rewind doesn't get his own guns, and we still haven't seen any sign of that damn second speaker yet.
Seems like that should've come with Cubbie, odd that.
Next wave of Studio Series is up for preorder and we're at $30 deluxes full stop now. Voyagers still at $43 and Leaders at $60, for now at lest.
