I looked at his "alt mode" and wondered what the hell was going on. That design...yeesh.

The Bee Movie alt mode looks like someone took the WFC game design and put it in a hydraulic press. I do not understand how or why they made this worse.

I can't wait to see how they justify Red Alert on the packaging. Also, that confirms Goldfire is not in Generations. Nice showing for the first live action film's TWENTIETH anniversary.

But what are they going to do for Dreamwave Optimus Prime? Make him look like he got stung by a bee? Do I dare hope for a War Within figure?

Huh...looks like a lot of mold reuse mixed in with the new stuff. I don't know if Fortress Maximus at that scale will work for me (I really do like the Headmaster functionality), but I have both the Encore G1-style with a full window-label upgrade and a DP Megatron hanging out with him to share a pretender shell, and a smaller Kabaya one to hang out with my Godzilla stuff. Something in between might be interesting, especially if it was more posable to actually get into fighting poses with the kaiju.

I might go for the IDW stuff but I dunno, that ship's mostly sailed for me and upon revisits, the MTMTE/RID era designs don't do much for me.

Except for Bomber Megs.

Nautica and Drift are among my most wanted figures, so glad to see them here (and sucks we gotta wait a year!) IDW Fort Max will probably grace my shelves as well. Beyond that, the '86 Alicon and Wheelie are on the list, and I'm getting all TF One figures so that shockwave is on the list as well.. Beyond the Autobot Cassette Pack though, that's probably it.

He *did* appear in the storyboards. I’m expecting he’ll be the off-white he is on the model sheet.

I don’t know how IDW Fort Max is gonna work as a Leader. That’s usually just Voyager sized with a huge gun(?) he really should be Commander sized. Maybe they’ll save that size for a proper Marvel Fort Max?

He had a lot of time on his hands between 1997 and 2006, and so he got really hooked on Halo...

There he is, celebrating a win.

Well, they try to keep to scale, so if size comparisons would help...

He could work if he's like a Prime Wars Trilogy leader, it is possible given we've had that size in the Studio Series 86 Dinobots. He might even have a Titan master face like Overlord, Sixshot and Blaster did.

(Also his line in that last image reminds makes me yearn for another barmy British writer on TF comics. 'Death by facepalm' still cracks me up.)

Comic Fort Max just isn't that big. LBD "Nytetrayn" already gave some good images for IDW. But even in Marvel, they'd have a lot of wiggle room. He was just a normal-sized bot in the mini.

He later got a big size upgrade, but he still wasn't all that giant. Basically the same size as PMOP. Around the same size as Grimlock, or maybe just a bit bigger.

Looking forward to Nautica and IDW Fort Max. Possibly Drift and "Dreamwave" Optimus (I'm assuming War Within) if they look good.
