Always appreciated the hidden-storage weapons. MW/BW2 flipchangers guns and long barrels, Alternators engine block guns. Those could even help make the most of the big gaps modern figures tend to need. But there's only so much that can be done with those, and more often than not there'd just be dinky weapons that are a bit unsatisfying visually (I'm reminded of the Universe 2.0 Lambros and Datsuns).

I always wondered if TM Megatron (for example) would or could transform if his big kibble butt weapon was lost or damaged. (IIRC he was knocked off a cliff or something and his BKBW fell with him without him holding it, which strikes me as cheating by the animators.)

ANYWAY G2 comic-style is the best way.

I saw 86 Thundercracker twice today. I just cant start over on another set of seekers.

Same. My Seeker air force is already a mix of the Siege and Earthrise mold, so I don't mind mixing in a few of the new style if they make previously unmade characters / color schemes (I have a Thundercracker, yes, but I don't have an ACTION MASTER Thundercracker!), but I feel no compulsion at all to re-buy anyone I already have.

Somehow still sane

I bought a Studio Series Thundercracker despite being satisfied with the Earthrise mold specifically to paint into AM Thundercracker. The simpler molding/detail and slight derp to the face suits it.

I had originally preordered 86 Thundercracker, but like many of you, I decided I didn't want to restart the seekers yet again. I've been very happy with the Earthrise mold.

I'm skipping the new SS '86 Seekers. The flat detailing may be Sunbow accurate but I find the "G1 design with toy/IRL vehicle level detailing" look of ER to be more my speed, and the ER Seekers give me everything I need. I just don't feel the need to upgrade.

I'll consider getting the new mould if they do something like Sunstorm or one of the G2 decos they never did on the ER mould, but I'm not feeling the urge to replace what I have.
Same reasons I never upgraded from ER Prime, or Netflix Bumblebee or Soundwave.

As the Earthrise seekers and coneheads were hard to get at general retail (in Japan), I might use the upcoming SS to fill in any gaps for any missing characters in my collection. After that, I won't be buying any more G1 seekers.

Somehow I still have no G1 Seekers. I guess they get redone so often that I've never felt like I needed to jump on any specific set. There's always some nitpick or other that makes me put it off to see the next pass, and the cycle continues.

Meanwhile, I"m over here still with my original set of CHUG Seekers...
I've got a complete set of TT CHUG ones, so I felt annoyed about 'having' to get the Earthrise ones and now the SS ones. I would rather Hastak concentrate on making decent versions of as-yet unreleased toys, like actual Pretenders, Headmaster Juniors (at MASS retail), etc.
