I never really liked the magenta much. I always preferred the toy's burgundy. This version apparently splits the yellow into two sprues though, and getting rid of that yellow piece on the car roof just improves his look a ton. So this might end up being my preferred release of the mold overall despite the colors just because of that.

And I came up with all those when I have no real love of the character, and even less of the black recolors. So imagine what someone who loves the character can come up with.

I admit I tend to prefer toy decos to animation decos but magenta Hot Rod is a deco they just resisted for so long that it's appealing on its own merits.

Also the shield and lightsabre accessories are just cool.

I'm glad people that want a pinker Hot Rod are getting it but the initial release is an anemic red enough for me and the "he used that thing once in that scene" accessories don't really draw me in.

I will continue to profess my like for the Cyberverse Season 3 Hot Rod deco. The toy version (black base) is fine, but I think the cartoon version (which had a REALLY dark, near black, orange) would make for a nifty take.
