It was such an awkward price point that they seemed to want to do everything with. New characters. Existing characters who work best at the size class for scale (more or less, since they're also upsizing all minibots to Deluxe anyway). Existing characters shrunken to the scale so you can build a cast that will never be complete.

Core was good. The Prime + Bumblebee set has one of the best G1 Prime trailers ever made, at a humble size and price. A third party Legends Prime with that trailer would cost $80 minimum.
I agree. I bought 2 sets, one for me and one for my son. My only gripe is that neither release of that Buzzworthy Bee came with an alternate Bumper head.

I really wish Hasbro had gotten around to Sideswipe and Sunstreaker in Core; they're really the only pair missing from the '84 cast in that scale (excluding Minibots, and using Prime Wheeljack). I would personally also have welcomed the '86 movie cast in Core to go with Hot Rod, too, but that seems like it will never happen...

I would love the '86 cast to be done in the Core class size! So like, they could release a new Metroplex and call it "Studio Series '86 Autobot City". Then, they could do the '86 cast as Core figures across several waves. Then, Hasbro could just sit back and watch the money roll in. Then, happy at long last, I could allow death's cold embrace to consume me. :)

If they did that, he would be mostly orange as Autobot city was presented as Primary orange colour during the film unless its Studio series Gamer Metroplex

Given how simple Metroplex’s transformation is, having base mode orange parts that swap around to white robot parts would be cool. Would tie in Metroplex to the Autobot City transformation scenes where orange structures folded up to reveal white guns and stuff.

I miss the original Cyberverse. Tiny normal-sized guys allowed for much more manageable playsets. We didn't get many, but the idea was great. (Also the vehicle trailers were fun.)

Actually, I guess I really miss MicroVerse. I got into Beast Wars late enough to get Arachnoid on sale, and maaaan, I wish there were others besides Orchanoch.

Orcanoch and Arachnid are eternally on my eBay list. I still want them, but they just never make it to the top of the list.

I've been clamoring for a return to Micro/2010s Cyberverse scale play for some time. This sounds great, although ymmv on the death thing.

Cyberverse 1.0 was one of the best things we ever got. Unlike Core, it tried even harder than the normal scale to cover a whole cast. And all the trailers and such were a blast. It never should have stopped.

I got an incomplete Orchanoch in some box of random junk toys once, and liked what I did have.
