Did Vecna say that to psyche Will out and keep him from realizing how special he was? Or does Vecna not know? I'm not sure what he is doing with the kids, whether he needs to select special kids for the job or whether whatever he does to them gives them abilities.

I feel like they really pulled flourish here because stuff leading up to episode 4 really had me pitying Will in how he was so weakened in action sequences.

I hate the splitting seasons in half thing, but as cliffhangers go that was pretty satisfying.
Wasn't it? My friend said he was jumping around the room. I thought it was amazing but I also read a thing like that happening in the Miss Peregrine's School for Peculiar Children novels.

The other best parts were the dinner (hahahahhaha) and me actually liking the dipspit to delightful person.

I may do that whole subscribe just long enough to marathon in the last season once both halves have dropped and then cancel" thing. But really only because it's the last season. I have the first two seasons physically (forget if it's FVD or Bluray).

It drives me nuts that Netflix does this. You can by the first few seasons of something physically, but we're going to keep the rest from you.

Is that an ongoing trend or did they just used to put things on DVD and don't anymore?

I have to think it's an ongoing thing. For some reason, you can get all of Kobra Kai on DVD which came later. You can even get the Castlevania Nocturne series on Bluray. But Stranger Things only went to season 2.

Official: "He visited Hawkins."

Everyone in the room: "Ooooooh!"

Just disappeared? I guess Barb just "disappeared". The dungeon master fell in the fissure, I guess.

I mean, there's also a shady government organization who killed a diner owner who knew nothing about the situation. He simply had the misfortune of running into 11. So those people who would be asking questions about any of these dissapeared people wouldn't probably be around for long themselves.

I didn't click here until I saw the second batch.

Some revelations was good but it doesn't match the batch 1 Will reveal.

I hate that they did Dexter dirty. Darn!

Also Max's comment at the start of the third ep.

Well, that was the ending. They still did Derek dirty but I guess they needed other people to take the spotlight to the end.

It was OK. Could have been happier but guess that's how they want it to end.

The timeliness makes is seem like it ends at 1989. If everything was 6 years, it started at 1983? I forget what movies they were watching as kids.

The denouement was excessive and maudlin.

The first half of the episode was very dot to dot on the plan they briefly sketched in the episode before, but there were some interesting twists and some very satisfying visuals.

The creature was pretty cool, yeah.

Btw, what happened to all the Demogorgons? Also, friend brought up bats that killed Johnny Storm actor. Where did they go? Those creatures can't exist in the Abyss?

It could be that there were only ever a handful of Demogorgons and Will killed them all.

I think it was a pretty bold move reducing the main villain to a dying man, helplessly gasping for air and finishing him off with an violent indignant death.

I kinda think 2 plot points that they were probably planning for a while wound up contradicting each other and they just tried to breeze by it.

Eleven sacrificing herself or pretending to and Henry being on some level a victim of the Mind-Flayer. They killed the Mind-Flayer, right? While it is possible that the military is going to make more telekinetic people if they catch Eleven, there's no reason to expect them to be the sort of threat that Vecna was, who was working for and being at least partially controlled by the Mind-Flayer.

That's true. Vecna Henry, even without the suitcase revelation, was just one guy who went evil. But I guess they are going on the fact that the military will keep experimenting on possibly unwilling people as inhumane and evil, from what Kali saw with the women. That's probably what they were thinking of stopping.

I am also surprised that
some of the military didn't get redeemed by switching sides. A couple helicopters fighting the Mind-Flayer would have been neat.
