Today, the first of November, food stamp (SNAP) benefits have gone unpaid. This is because the federal government led by Trump has decided to not fund this program.

This is, I believe, the first time that food benefits are being used as a political tool of coercion. I'm certain that Trump is trying to create a situation where there's enough civil unrest so he can finally pull the trigger on the Insurrection Act, which has been his goal since realizing the elections are not going to go his way. But I do wonder just how the other republicans feel, knowing that the vast majority of Americans put this on them.
For my end, working private security in many grocery stores, we are doubling the amount of guards present and have a new SOP in case of food riot or other large crowd type incidents.
I don't know that we're going to see riots, at least not for a few weeks, but we've already seen a spike in shoplifting.
We have over half the states in the union suing the administration and two judges have already ruled against them. But it's far too late for any benefits to roll out even close to on time so families will be going hungry. How is this affecting you or the people in your area?
