Am I the only one who did like that one? It's more respectful of the source material than most "serious" Dracula adaptations.
That is actually part of the secret sauce of Mel Brooks movies. He actually enjoys the source material he's poking fun at. It's also why the Cornetto Trilogy from Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg work so well.

Post-Spaceballs, I did really like "Robin Hood Men in Tights". I remember not really caring for "Dracula Dead and Loving It", though. I don't remember why. Probably should give that a rewatch at some point. I guess I've never seen a few of his earlier films, like "The Twelve Chairs". Probably should fix that, too.

Men in tights, was great when it came out, but it really doesn't hold up as well today. Dracula Dead and Loving it, I enjoyed as Lesile Nelson and Brooks together was great. I need to check that out. To be or not to be is a great early film of his as is High Anxiety. 12 chairs isn't a comedy though, so don't expect much from that film.
