Well, I certainly hope SGC will continue on a regular basis regardless of the comic publisher transition. There are so many goodies to get to!

I hope most for:
Prowl
Sideswipe
Inferno
Slugslinger
Dirge

SG Slicer was 2 deluxe figures redecoed for 48.99. SG Flamewar is a deluxe and a Battlemaster redecoed for 42.99. They're essentially contemporary figures, so why do the prices feel like apples to oranges?

It's a beautiful figure, one I would be excited to add to my collection, but that price has got me at a full stop.

It’s kinda amusing that we have threads here with complaints how Hasbro “cuts corners” now and how people would pay more if Hasbro did “intricate decos” while we also have people in this thread complaining about paying the same price for a 2022 Deluxe as most of us did for a 2012 one from Takara…

Something I’m equally guilty of too :D

I can't speak for other posters, but I'm not sure the ones complaining about the price of Flamewar are the same ones who complain about cutting corners on decos. Even in your example, there was usually the less expensive Hasbro option and the pricier Takara one. Fans could choose price vs deco.

In the specific instance of Flamewar, the price seems disproportionately high to me compared to other figures in the SG lineup, which all seem to have more paint apps than normal. Maybe this is an accurate reflection of the cost of her particular deco, but it seems like it could also be an error in pricing. To me, her price would make more sense if she'd been paired with a Core-sized figure. Not a Battlemaster.

Yes, I have no issue paying for a premium deco in general. I would usually choose the Takara version of a figure, if it was character I liked, over Hasbro. But here, its not Deco vs Price. It's as Haywire says, and as I commented previously; Price vs Price. Flamewar is currently priced the exact same as a Voyager with Minifigure (though in that case it's part of figure and not an extra), and is only slightly less then the set that has two deluxes. While the currently most expensive single pack Deluxe was about $10 cheaper. A $5 battlemaster shouldn't raise the price that much. She seems either overpriced, or wrongly priced when compared to the rest of the line, and other similar deluxes like Jackpot who also was a Dlx with Battle master.

I was kinda hoping for the Earthrise Ironhide mold.

...Now that I think about it, have we seen any SG Character that isn't just their normal character's mold recolored?

I'm not very familiar with either toy, but I'm assuming it's the tapedeck version of the mold since none of the covers depict any spaceship kibble.
Though I guess that could just be the artistic license.

Soundwave in the cover art is clearly the Netflix verison, Laserbeak, is the Siege verison, Ravage, I'm not sure which verison, of course, this is just the art for the comic, what the actual mold Hasbro uses is another matter, as from what I understand, the Netflix Soundwave is licensed to Walmart in the US, while the UK it was Symths toys having the Netflix line and the Legacy Speed planet line, so if the license agreement has expired, then Hasbro is free to use that verison, unless the agreement has been renewed or something!
