Toys Say "G'day" the Retro Way! Wal-mart Retro Wheelie and Outback Revealed!

Walmart has put up listings for two new Retro Series Deluxe toys, Wheelie and Outback. Like other Retro releases before them, each comes on a G1 minibot-styled bubble cardback and is painted in colors evoking their original 1980's releases. Outback, as expected, is a Brawn retool, but Wheelie is a brand new, never seen before mold. See the gallery below for pictures of these two new toys. Both will be available for order during Walmart's Collector Con starting Oct. 10th at 7am PST.

Oh no...

Quick! Someone talk me out of getting Outback!

Character libel is not allowed!

Go!

Wheelie, I'm torn on. I had the original toy as a kid, but these eyes... these eyes haunt me. 🙀

Outback looks amazing! That‘s more retooling than I expected. Plus the new head looks great. And Wheelie is… unexpected. I wonder if, since this is in the Retro, Hasbro might actually do Wild Boy repaint of tjis.

Also, this might be the first Wheelie figure I ever buy.

Also also, give in to the Outback LBD. :)

Outback looks great, but having Retro Brawl, I didn't like how the feet and shoulders are designed... just too loose and unstable. Will have to see in hand or the finance at the time, so not a PO.

Meanwhile, Wheelie... did he skipped all his legs day or what? The upper legs look ok directly from the front, but from the sides though... urgh. Tempting but probably clearance-price purchase for me. Honestly I'm still OK with the TR version of it as I like my Wheelie tiny.
