It actually looks familiar. Can you flip it upside down and maybe add something for scale?

Sorta looks like half a foot for an older Macross Valkyrie figure. Also looks a bit like something off a Convertor. But, yeah, maybe a pic of the other side and scale would help.

Looks like one of the flaps from Energon Omega Supreme's battleship tower.

Back in BotCon 2026 I bought a bin of toys from a room sale, and one item in that was a 2001 RiD Optimus Prime, mostly complete (even the missile) aside from the ladder/super robot chest.

Found the ladder/chest piece, and 1 missile, online a few weeks back and it arrived today, with the missile in a launcher.

I assemble the super robot for the first time and need to add the missiles for completion.

They won't fit. The one that came with it fits and I compare the two.

Top: one (of 4) that came with the lot.
Bottom: Came with the ladder I bought.

The top one doesn't have the grooves needed to fit into the launcher, but has two 'wings' on the side, both preventing it from even going INTO the launcher. What the Hell?!

Comparing with my 2001 Hasbro RiD figure, the bottom one looks identical to mine.

Looking around online, I think the top one might be from the Japanese Car Robots version, which would mean Hasbro remolded the missiles for their version.

There is a way to test this hypothesis. Load the one missile that came with ladder into one of its missile launchers, fold down the missile launchers to lock them into their undeployed state, and then press the button on the back of the ladder. If that button both deploys the launchers and automatically fires the missile you loaded, then the ladder and missile are the Takara Car Robots version. But if that button only deploys the launchers and does not also fire the missile (because the launchers have their own individual triggers molded into them that fire the missiles manually), then the ladder and missile are the Hasbro RiD version.

Came across a G2 Combat Hero Megatron recently that had an odd modification. I don't think I'd ever owned this mold before, so I was a little confused to see he had TWO tank cannons -- the bellows-powered one, which was not attached to him, and this one, which was taking its place on his shoulder using the same sliding joint.

My theory is that this may have been a custom placeholder (and maybe the seller acquired the bellows/hose/launcher assembly separately later on), but it was a bit baffling to see this entirely different cannon -- seemingly painted up to look the part, albeit with a big black greebled soundbox on the back (there was an empty, doorless battery compartment and speaker holes) -- just mounted onto (apparently) the same cradle that used the same sliding joint.

Is this alternate cannon thing FROM a Transformers tank? It looks vaguely familiar, but who knows.

Whoops. Pressed "Post Reply" while trying to finish the sentence. Went back and finished the post properly, picture included.

Years ago, pre-pandemic, I bought a bag of "Transformers parts" at a store in the Big City, with the intent on seeing how many I could id. Never got very far beyond "a lot of movie pieces" and buried it in a box.

Last night I rediscovered the lot and started, and as of today they fall into 3 categories:
1) What I know they go to.
2) What I know but not what version.
3) and "No idea".

I'll post category 3 first as it's relevant to the thread.

And finally, what I've confirmed.

The grey piece with the orange blade at the top right is this Lego piece:

The cylindrical piece with blue on the back edge and the grey pieces attached to each side in the center is one of Beast Hunters Voyager Prime's guns.
I swear that sword was from Constru-a-Bots. Thank you!
Thank you!
Category 2 Voyager OP roof panels are from this:
