There’s a taco stand near my house that only ever opens at night. This is totally a front for drugs right? Or like Mexican vampires. I notice a lack of garlic on their menu.

For some reason I only get a craving for tacos at night.
It’s either that or Breaking Bad. Unfortunately, our local vampire deterrents aren’t as civilized as a singular stake through the heart.
Makes me think of one of our local mysteries. A neighbor about a block away has had a big box sitting in their driveway for *years*. It's a large rectangle about the size of a big tall dresser, sitting on a pallet, and completely covered w/ a green tarp. The driveway is also angled, so the box also looks like it's about to tip over any second. We drive by it on the way home, and have come to call it the Green Obelisk. We like to make up crazy theories about what it is, and start chanting/saying "obelisk" ominously when we see it (if you listen to the Welcome to Nightvale podcast, you get it).
We even ran into the neighbor who lives there once and chatted w/ him, but didn't ask about it. The reality about what's under there and why it's been sitting there so long is probably boring.
On an unrelated note, while driving recently, we saw a license plate that read "CALI MA".

The greatest L from the DC Comics constant rebooting is that it is no longer clear whether it is canon that Lex Luthor stole forty cakes.
And that's terrible.
When I was first asked if Die Hard was a Christmas movie, I was like "yeah, sure. It's a Christmas movie. Whatever."
Then I was called on to defend my position. "I mean, it takes place at Christmas. He's only there because of a Christmas party. But like...this isn't exactly a hill I'm prepared to die on."
Now it feels like trench warfare and now I have to stick to my side or die.

It really depens on how you define "a Christmas movie". Most people think of those as being feel-good family oriented fluff with the main focus being on the holiday. I also think of them as low stakes and predictable.
I don't think of Die Hard as a Christmas movie due to this. Also, you could easily swap the party for another holiday party and it wouldn't make much difference. But, I don't care enough to argue further for/against it.

Somehow "Die Hard" being a jokey answer to the perennial "what's your favorite Christmas movie?" question like ten years ago has caused a certain subset of the population to make it a Very Serious Issue, and they've successfully killed the funny.
I tell people Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and enjoy their confusion. Duo mentions at one point that it's Christmas Eve, but there's nothing else holiday themed about it at all.
If Home Alone 1 and 2 count, then so should the first Die Hard, in my opinion.
But keep in mind for context, when I was younger and edgier I would watch Batman Returns in December, and My Mother Would Worry.

My favorite Christmas special is the pair of Christmas episodes from City Hunter 2; the orphanage gets bulldozed, the kindly dude that ran it turns state's witness and goes into custody, but it all sorta works out in the end.

die hard isn't a christmas movie entirely because saying it is (or worse saying that it's your favorite christmas movie) is one of those insufferable personality traits that makes me not want to associate with you
