Random Thoughts From Out of Nowhere

So I hadn't watched the Goonies since I was a kid. I had only a few memories, mostly just pictures, of having watched it as a kid. After a bit of encouragement from others saying how great a movie it was, I went ahead and got the movie from Amazon. Having not seen it since I was a kid, I had no idea what to expect. Some shows you watched as a kid, when you see them again later in life, some of them hold up. Some of them don't.

Well...I don't know. I mean, it's not the worst movie ever. It was alright, I guess. But...well...let's just say I was very aware I was watching an 80's film geared towards kids.

Tried upping my weights to 100kg. Wasn't too bad but that and a combination of poor ergonomics for work that week meant that my knee's been aching a lot. should probably start taking joint supplements TBH.

My bank recently increased my credit limit. I don't know what about me never even getting anywhere near the original limit and a purchase history of almost entirely toys, video games and fast food made them think that was a good idea but okay.

Why can\'t some people type apostrophes or quotes without backslashes getting thrown in there?

I never see it here, but on other boards it's rampant.

It's probably an artifact from using Markdown for text formatting, where you need to add a backslash in front of certain characters like asterisks or carats if you want them to display properly, because otherwise the software assumes those characters are there to act as formatting commands.

For example, in order to get a classic shruggie ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) to display properly with Markdown on reddit, you need to use three backslashes, (ie ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯ ) because the first one tells the software not to hide the second one and the third one tells the software that you want the underscores to display rather than make everything between them italicized.

Came across a comment that given all the necromantic incidents in Tamriel that there should be a emergency response team of Priests of Arkay specifically to deal with high risk/high impact necromantic sites, and now I can't get the idea of "Law and Order: Priests of Arkay" out of my head.

Office implemented a 10 thousand step per day challenge for a month. I don't mind too much since I get about 3/4 of that done on a regular day anyway, but I think I lose out here giveneach of my steps is significantly longer than the other people in the challenge. I'm like 4-5 inches taller than our national average male height and nearly a foot above the average female height, and most of the people I'm competing with are women.

If I wore a tracker I'm pretty sure my FBI agent would send somebody to do a wellness check.

My phone reports its location in absolutely random places, so anyone who tries tracking me that way is in for a fun time.
