Takara Tomy put up preorders for AZ Geno Breaker, basically a remake of the old toy including motorized gimmick. No wonder they were spacing out uses of the RMZ Genosaurer mold.

Also, Realize Model Shield Liger kit but I dunno, the Shield Liger is just an all around lamer version of the Blade Liger which makes sense but doesn't mean it isn't lame.

another new subconscious mental voice acting casting: Red Hulk now sounds like Senator Armstrong in my head.

also wow this Rulk introduction arc is so bad but I can’t stop reading.

I feel the ongoing comic has a serviceable story underneath but has the pace of molasses and has too many fight scenes that ultimately don't add anything to the story. The robo-body horror angle has also grown stale but the author still keeps trying. I'm convinced that people just like it because end stage IDW1 was such a complete mess and IDW2 somehow moved even slower than this.

The current Hulk book has a similar problem with pacing on a geologic scale and is written by a dude with a three-part name with surname Johnson. I was surprised to learn that they weren't the same person.

I ordered a Hulk Hogan figure from Amazon and a Sting figure from eBay back on the first of the month. Somehow, the eBay figure arrived first. It arrived today and the Amazon delivery is still a week out.

I'm not a huge wrestling fan. I was mostly into it during college since my room mate was into it. But my two big favorite wrestlers were, of course, Hogan and Sting. So when Hogan died, it seemed appropriate to get these two. Anyway, still waiting on Hogan, but here's Sting.

It's kinda funny to look at my Pile of Loot on BBTS and see that one item has one day left until it has to ship, while the next has 72. And the top four or five items still on preorder were supposed to be in stock back in March or April and keep pushing back, while an item that wasn't supposed to arrive until October just came in the other day.

Yeah, if I really want something and I absolutely can't find it anywhere else, I'll bite the bullet and get it from BBTS. But their shipping game baffles me.

I have not once preordered something from them and not canceled it later because I found it at a brick and mortar a good month before it was supposed to arrive to them.

You know that jumbo image we get in our BBTS newsletters? Sometimes they forget to ship those. We get the newsletter but not the big image. So I make one. I try to make it look legit but I have to just guess how they would have arranged it.

And of course, the day after hitting Ship, another item arrives. Well, I'll see that in another 90 days.

I mostly use BBTS for stuff I don't expect to ever see on shelves. Sometimes I'm right (I've yet to see Legacy Cosmos on the pegs anywhere), sometimes not (found AOTP Vortex, he's still listed as a preorder), but it's a security blanket. If I find it first, I cancel, if not, they'll get it sooner or later.

Every single company trying to push AI is obnoxious and stupid. No, I don't need AI to tell me what a one-page memo about the meeting schedule is about.

It's just "smart" devices all over again.

It wasn't that long ago that the company that an AC repair guy swore up and down that the new system could not possibly work without the "smart" thermostat he insisted on installing. There was just no way. The new system just required it. As used to be my annual tradition, it broke right at the start of summer. That year I tried a different company. They sent me an old German guy with an incomprehensibly thick accent. I'm not 100% sure he was speaking English at all. I just know he stuck a dumb thermostat on the thing and it's been working ever since.

Today it would be an AI thermostat, and I'm sure it would end the same way.
