So, I have been reading through volume 1 and 2 of the new English omnibus editions of the Cat's Eye manga (City Hunter is next), and it occurs to me that I would actually like to see a coffee table book of the Michael Heinz art collection.
Like, I know none of this art actually exists, and I'm sure Tsukasa Hojo never really planned them out much beyond "Macguffin of the week" status, but it would still amuse me if someone went back through all the heists and showed the collection that the Kisugi sisters amassed during their stint as Cat's Eye. Especially if it was presented in-universe with backstories for each piece like an actual museum exhibit.

I love my crazy grandma, but man does my arm hurt from how long I've been holding this phone.
I guarantee her arm hurt less than mine. She is a freak, in a good way.
(sighs) Back to work tomorow, just had a week off of mostly chilling and doing very little, what I expect to find is a bit of a mountain of things to be done yet I'll likely catch up by the end of the day, but I'll see, its not been a bad week off, not gone anywhere of real meaning aside from the shops, bought a new pair of shoes for work the other day as the old ones were getting a bit worn out from the daily grine
It's so strange that GMK the Godzilla movie canonically takes place in some version of the Marvel Comics universe where Tristar Godzilla also happened.

YOOOOOO I found the receipt and some other papers from my old Windows 98 computer.
I am going to build a VM exactly to the original specs, down to the brand names of the chips.
I thought this would be harder. Silly me. I forgot that Windows has always been Windows. It has taken literally zero tinkering to get a very specific setup working. Windows 98 just detects whatever I throw at it and makes it work.

I saw a listing for Hiya Toys Kiryu after a bunch of Persona figures. It’s more of a me problem but Iwas really disappointed to see that it was the Mechagodzilla.
It's a good Mechagodzilla though.
I mean, I’m probably buying it too but I was conditioned to expect John Yakuza after all the Sega character listings.

Yeah, that Godzilla has no character or story. Kiryu is the star, but a good one at least, with insanely catchy music.
Those movies sort of relied on the audience already knowing what Godzilla is about. They were more about the humans anyway.
i just don’t much enjoy the godzilla design. While I don’t like how straight up dinosaur Millennium Godzilla is, I respect how it’s a conscious choice to do so as represented by that combined with the atypical colors. Kiryugoji and Final Wars Godzilla are kind of a weird middle ground between that and the more traditional Godzilla that I don’t really think works. He’s also got the weirdest neck
